m o l e c u l e s r e d u c e s u r f a c e t e n s i o n , c r i t i c a l m i c e l l e c o n -
c e n t r a t i o n ( C M C ) a n d i n t e r ra c i a l te n s i o n i n b o t h a q u e -
o u s s o l u t i o n s a n d h y d r o c a r b o n m i x t u r e s . T h e s e
