Bamboo Finance Energy Portfolio

LPG Distribution

Orb is setting new standards in the Indian solar industry. They have uniquely designed solar photovoltaic and solar water heating systems, and sell, install, and service most of these directly, through their own branch network, to better control the customer experience. They service residential and commercial customers, and they work with banks to enable their customers to take solar loans.

Greenlight Planet combines cutting-edge technology with innovative distribution networks to commercialize low-power LED lanterns. The lights are bright, long-lasting, and practical, but more importantly, they are affordable enough to profitably scale to help hundreds of millions.

VidaGas sells LPG to rural customers in Mozambique, most notably the Ministry of Health, which uses the fuel to power vaccine refrigeration units. The company operates three filling/distribution stations in Pemba, Nampula, and Mocuba.

Husk provides electricity to rural households and businesses using locally based biogas plants that are powered from rice husk.

Model Management Market

What We Look For in Social Enterprises

Is there a commercially viable business model that can be scaled. Is

there an economic value proposition across the

supply chain.

Does the team have the

capabilities to execute the

business plan

Is there a market for the products or

services and it is large enough to support growth
