Rowing regatta by prizes of Marine Council of the Government of St. Petersburg Wind Light Windsurfing aimed at promoting sailing and windsurfing, with constructed a large pool premises and provided public wind-surfing classes. the Universities XII Cup of boat model making the competition of more than 170 ship models from Russia, Belarus, Germany, Serbia, Estonia and Ukraine. The main criterion for victory consisted in fidelity of models to known historical maritime vessels.

In 2012, 24 new boats were nominated on the NMA and tested by commission of experts.

The Festival has passed the exhibition audit procedure for the purpose of confirmation

of the RUEF sign (Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs) – confirmation of the

highest level of the exhibition.

In 2012 the Baltic Marine Festival was given the status of UFI Approved Event.

Boats and Population

According to the statistics of 2012 in the Russian Federation live 143 million adults. The official data of registered boats is

closed information, however, according to the head Inspector, the number of registered boats reached 1 000 000 this year.

It means that less than 0, 67 percent or 1 million people, participated in recreational boating in Russia and this the highest

proportion during years. In the market of our neighbor country Finland is 25% of population and 30% in America. So why,

we could estimate our market in optimistic dynamic. During last five years a number of boats in Russia were grown twice.
