One of the unarguable riches of the island is made up of a series of products thatare unique and distinctive of the most traditional Mallorcan gastronomy, such asthe curly pastry known as ensamada, the rectangular quartosor the traditionalcakes made in local convents.

Sweet or savoury at cakes bring the taste of the landscape to our table. Weshould also mention water ices, above all those made with local citric fruits.

Sobrassada, the islands best-known cured meat, is characterised by its carefulpreparation using typical ingredients, such as the meat from black pigs -originallyfrom Majorca- and the pebre bord, making it unique throughout the world.

The general conditions of the island, with its mild climate, mean there is a wealthof products from the earth, including aubergines, pebre bordand tomtigues deramellet, not forgetting the production from almond trees, gs, vines and olivetrees.

The wines are excellent and the oils are extraordinarily delicate and smooth. Theproduction of citric fruits, although very localised, is of a very high gastronomicquality.

Products worthy of a great table.
