Balance SpreadsheetI found this spreadsheets to be very helpful.this verifies all your entries, because you are comparing your entries to the banks entries.
In one case I hade made a check for $60.10 and I had entered the amount in my expense sheet as
$60.00All my reports sheet showed a balance month.
When I applied the information to the balanced sheet I was 10¢ out.
This mistake took me 2 hours to find. At first I suspected my spreadsheet, then I
suspected a bank error (ha ha banks don’t make
mistakes) at this point I started to verify my amounts against the bank amount and found
my mistake. Because the check was three monts late in being cashed I had to go back three months and make the corrections. (that took another
2 hours)
Make sure you check all your amounts against the bank statement , check to make sure all checks are accounted for, check for the proper amount on the bank statement. After all your entries if you get Mois balancé you can be confident that all your entries are correct.
