2.00pm, Sunday 1st September at Sandal Primary SchoolWest Lane Baildon, £1 admission (children free)

The Baildon Horticultural Show is a celebration of the skill and dedication, not only of those who grow prize winning flowers and vegetables, but also those whose expertise liein art and crafts, photography, baking or flower arranging. It’s also an opportunity for the children of the village to show their creativity in the various classes available for them to enter. It is the 68th Annual Show this year - we have great new classes for children and again features the Baildon Tomato Championship which is judged on taste alone with a first prize of £30 plus a trophy to the overall winner. Debbie Davies, Baildon district councillor, is our guest of houour and will be presenting all the prizes and trophies at 3.30pm. We hope the Show will once again be an opportunity for the town to get together for what I am sure will be a happy and highly enjoyable occasion for the whole family. The show is only possible due to the hard work and dedication of the members of Baildon Horticultural Society and the support of local businesses, for which we are extremely grateful. We hope many of you will be able to support the Show either by attending or entering exhibits (or both) and we are always looking for willing volunteers to assist on the day.If you are new to showing there will be plenty of advice and help on the day. The emphasis is very much on the taking part rather than the winning.Happy growing ,baking & crafting, best of luck to you all.
