Proper noise abatement measures such as
development of greenbelt & plantation, regular
maintenance of mining machinery are being adopted
to keep noise level within the prescribed limit by
CPCB.
Greenbelt has been developed around the lease
boundary which acts as barrier for propagation of
noise outside the area.
Same will be practiced for this amendment in EC
project.
6.2 From industrial or similar processes Yes The main source of noise generation from the mine
area would be from drilling, blasting and mining
machinery i.e. diesel operated HEMM Required noise
control equipment like mufflers, acoustic enclosures

involved in this project.
6.4 From blasting or piling Yes Blasting is being done for the mining of limestone,
which generates some noise. Controlled blasting
practice is being used to reduce the noise &
vibration to considerable extent.
Critical charge, timing of blasting etc is being
regulated considering the environmental condition
so as to minimize its blast utilization etc.
6.5 From construction or operational
traffic

No Domestic waste water generated from mine office is
being disposed off in soak pit via septic tank.
No waste water/ effluent are being generated from
mining operation.
7.3 By deposition of pollutants emitted to air
into the land or into water
No Dust is being generated by movement of dumpers,
drilling and blasting operations, excavation, loading

8.1 From explosions, spillages, fires etc from
storage, handling, use or production of
hazardous substances
No Possibility of accident on account of explosion,
spillages, fire or hazardous substances etc is very
less. Proper maintenance, operation and leakage
proof condition of machinery eliminates possibilities
of fire.
All the safety precautions are being taken at
explosive magazines.
However fire extinguishers are being provided in
near all machines, explosive magazines, workshop,
mines office, etc. and all persons are properly
trained to quench the fire at source itself. No other
major risks are involved, as mines is being following
provisions of mines act, rules and regulations and
under supervision of qualified persons.

Yes The earthquake occurrences and tectonic activities
are quite predominant. This area falls under category
V in the seismic map of India. Due to this, all of the
building and plant structures are designed so as to
withstand expected severity of the earthquake. This
will be necessary to prevent loss of life and damage
to property.
Landslides are the common features in mountainous
terrain. The probability of landslides increases when
it rains. Slope stabilization measures such as
diversion drains, retaining walls, crib structures
trenches spurs and retards for seasonal streams shall
be implemented on highest priority so as to prevent
landslides in totality.

No The after use of site planned would be helpful to the
society, owing to better greenery and development
of the surrounding localities.
9.3 Set a precedent for later developments Yes A better after use scenario will increase aesthetic
beauty of the area in addition to benefit of greenery
would set precedence for subsequent entrepreneurs
who venture such projects.
