Gain an Expressive Appreciation for Jewish Tradition…

..An Experience of a Lifetime!

…not from outsiders, but by the Hassidic Jews and residents of Postville themselves. Explore the Jewish way of life through visits to community institutions, hands-on educational activities and cultural programs.

At a time when more people are trying to under-stand the Jewish story, this unique tour allows in-sight into the Jewish religion, its history, customs and holidays. Coordinated through the Judaic Resource & Tourist Center, the Hassidic walking tour is available to individuals and groups, as well as organizations such as universities and churches interested in gaining an inside look at the lifestyle of the unique group of people (the “Hassidim”) living in Postville.

The Jewish calendar is full of unique and inspirational holidays with many interesting customs, from blow-ing the Shofar (ram’s horn) on Rosh Hashana to eat-ing Matza on Passover or foods fried in olive oil on Hanukkah. Join us for any one of our stimulating hands-on programs that link Jewish learning to the beauty and joy of holidays, family celebrations and festival rituals. Programs are seasonal with individual fees. Call 563-380-7771 to learn about which ac-tivities are being offered today.
