Overview of the Programme

Bachelor of Fine Arts

Fine Arts in terms of academics, is the study and creation of visual works of art. Degree Course in it's initial year includes drawing, painting, figure drawing, portrait, water colour, art-making ,concept development, art history etc. Candidates who have a natural interest for Visual Arts or natural skills such as sketching, drawing and visualization are perfectly suited for pursuing this degree.

Eligibility

A degree can be pursued by those candidates who have successfully completed their HSC (10+2) examinations in any stream from a recognized board. Common entrance test for the Bachelor of Fine Arts .An Interview as well and on the basis of the test the final decision for admission is made.

• To introduce the learners to history of visual communication and its basic concepts. • To introduce the students to history, social and economic aspects of advertising • To understand and develop the skill of sketching and drawing from natural and manmade objects and structures in various medium like pencil, pen, ink, crayon, chalk, color etc.• To develop the sense of structure, and understand how forms achieve their

structural unity through adherence to principals of physical nature of the material being observed and studied (e.g. Plants, insects, minerals etc).• To develop the sense of observation and capacity to retain and recall images and

their co-ordination.
