HIKING & MAP READING 101 March 4, 4-5:30 p.m. Want to get outdoors in New Mexico but do not know where to start? Learn about hikes for all ages and levels from local hiking guides. Learn important skills and ensure you do not get lost while exploring the greater outdoors with this simple map-reading session, led by trail experts. HIDE & SEEK March 18, 1-3 p.m. Come play your favorite hiding games in the park with others. Not just for kids! Dress in camouflage and be prepared to creep silently in the grass and crouch behind bushes. OUTDOOR FIRST AID KIT AND CAMPING GEAR April 8, 4-5:30 p.m. Build an outdoor first aid kit and learn about basic camping gear for your next outdoor adventure. CAMPING 101 May 6, 4-5:30 p.m. If you want to take your outdoor experiences to the next level, this is the class for you. Designed with families in mind, we will walk you through the steps to start sleeping under the stars. BACKPACKING 102 May 20, 4-5:30 p.m. Learn the basics of backpacking, the best trails to explore in the southwest, as well as a checklist of things necessary to prepare for a self-sufficient trip.

FORT BUILD INGSept. 23, 1-3 p.m.Learn the basics of fort building from our expert educators. Whether you want to make a fairy house or a survival structure, we will guide you through each step and send you into the arboretum to practice the art of building with nature.

BIGFOOT & BEYONDOct. 28, 4-5:30 p.m.Have you ever seen a footprint bigger than a bears? Are you interested in the large animals that lurk in forests around us? Is Bigfoot mysterious or mythical? Our presenter will guide you through the known evidence so you can decide for yourself.
