Welcome back CBA!

School is back and so are the opportunities of enjoying college life to its fullest. This

year marks the 95th year of our beloved College of Business Administration. We

celebrate 95 years of excellence and 95 years of unequaled business spirit.

In anticipation of our centennial year in 2016, we invite you to be part of our 5-year

preparation. This year we are launching the TATAK BAC campaign that aims to

immortalize the unprecedented mark CBA and BAC have made.

Exams, cases, late night meetings may be back but friends, organizations and the

council are also here to back you up. In doing things together, happiness shared is

doubled, and sadness shared is halved.

Once again, welcome back and see you around CBA!

MESSAGE FROM THE BAC2YOU TEAM It’s good to be back! That’s the theme of the 1st issue of BAC2YOU this first semester of A.Y. 2011-2012! BAC2YOU, the official newsletter of the College of Business Administration Student Council has finally returned! This primer wishes to introduce to you the members of BAC 2012 as well as the new and revamped projects of the council. BAC itself is revisiting its mission which is to lead and serve the college through effective communication and heightened involvement in innovative and enriching opportunities. Each project this year is tailor-made to be of value to every CBA student and to be representative of the college’s standards of excellence—hence, the Tatak BAC campaign. the community surrounding the UP campus through toddler's storytelling, nutritious cooking for moms and tutoring to school children.

As a member of the new BAC 2012, what is your pledge to CBA and to the Tatak BAC? My pledge to the College is an

unwavering commitment to represent its ideals and principles in all endeavors of my function as College Representative to the USC, and to

continuously serve the best interests of the students of the University as an exemplary student leader.

My new BAC project: BACIT-NGAYON-KA-LANG: a dating project that will serve as a romantic bridge for the single ladies and the single men of BA to interact. Project is not limited to students. My pledge to CBA and Tatak BAC: I pledge to take good care of the trust that you guys have given me, stay true to my plans during the elections last school year, to do my best in working towards becoming

a role model especially to the freshmen, and to be as un-corny as I can be and make all of CBA happy every single day.

BACK to Earth! This year, BAC is attempting to really go back to its roots of stewardship. We will try to establish a stronger council-student relationship and in the process, remind them that we are here because we fully intend to be of service. Moment I don't want to come BACK to: Second year. No intention of going back to being a geology major with no interest in it whatsoever. My new BAC project: Around UP and BACk - a project where BA students are encouraged to explore the

world outside of CBA. Learning isn't just within the confines of CBA, it is all around UP. People who have non-BA related interests and talents should have an avenue for expressing themselves. My pledge to CBA and Tatak BAC: I promise to dedicate myself to the endeavors that CBA and UP aspires itself unto, and to never forget that first and foremost, I am a man of service elected not only to be a representative but also to be a proactive student leader.

BACK TO THE STRESS OF COLLEGE - Because the fulfillment afterwards is too priceless. For me, TATAK BAC means SERVICE. Moment I don't want to come BACK to: Last sem, I'd have to prerog ALL my other subjects since CRS only gave me 3 units. :(

My new BAC project: BACkspace would be all about reinventing the 4th floor, to make it look more warm, inviting and of course, cleaner than ever. Since the 4th floor is the student center of the college, we have to make it our own space, eliminate the trash and other unsightly elements in it, so that the students can

maximize their own space. My pledge to CBA and Tatak BAC: This year would be about taking everything to new heights, more passionate service and dedication to the college, without forgetting the basics: leadership by example and love for the community that put us here.

My new BAC project: BACk in the Day-A gathering and gallery commemorating the achievements and history of CBA since its inception. Here students and alumni will be able to exchange experiences. My pledge to CBA and Tatak BAC: I pledge to continue serving the college and my batch and to make this

creating a sustainable learning program for underprivileged kids under 10 in the UP area.
