Programme Structure

For Associate Degree / Higher Diploma holders, they are required to complete 11 modules (240 credits) over 6 trimesters in around 2 years. For Ordinary Degree holders, students are required to complete 5 modules (120 credits) over 3 trimesters in 12 months.

Continuing Education Fund (CEF) reimbursable modules#Edinburgh Napier University reserves the right to revise the schedule if necessary.*Year 2 modules might be conducted in afternoon sessions (2:30-5:30pm) and/or evening sessions (7:00-10:00pm).

Teaching and LearningProgramme Delivery The programme offers a variety of teaching methods including lectures, tutorials, consultations, workshops, projects and group exercises. Lectures will be mostly taught by experienced professors from Edinburgh Napier University and tutorials facilitated by local tutors with industrial experience using study materials in Asian contexts.

ClassesEach module normally comprises of intensive lectures (12-13 hours) and weekly tutorials (12-24 hours in total, around 3-4 hours per week).

VenueClasses will be held at designated CityU SCOPE Learning Centres.

Student SupportStudents will have access to the CityU Library, CityU Computing Services Centres and the online resources provided by Edinburgh Napier University.

Admission RequirementsAssociate Degree / Higher Diploma level entry ˙Holders of Associate Degree or Higher Diploma

(or equivalent level) in tourism, airline operations / management or related disciplines; OR

˙Holders of Associate Degree or Higher Diploma in business or related disciplines with relevant work experience.

AND satisfied the following English requirements:

˙Associate Degree or Higher Diploma or equivalent with duration of at least 2 years delivered in English will be exempted from English proficiency test; OR

˙IELTS Academic - score of 6.0 with no less than 5.5 in any component ; OR

˙English proficiency test results of equivalent standard.

Degree level entry ˙Holders of Bachelor Degree (Ordinary) in tourism, airline

operations/ management ; OR

˙Holders of Bachelor Degree (Ordinary) in related disciplines with relevant work experience.

Assessment and AwardAssessments for taught modules are based on a combination of assignments, projects, presentations, quizzes, case studies and/or examination. A student will be awarded a BA / BA (Hons) in Tourism and Airline Management conferred by Edinburgh Napier University upon successful completion of the programme in accordance with the programme requirements.
