Donate desserts to fish fry A popular part of our fish fry is the delicious array of desserts. Please

consider donating a homemade or store-bought dessert for us to sell.

Items can be dropped off in the parish office on fish fry Friday during

the day or in the kitchen right up until the fish fry start time. Thanks!

Fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Mardi Gras Casino Night St. Catherine will be “letting the good times roll”

before the start of Lent with their Mardi Gras Casino

Night on Saturday, February 14, in their school gym

(8660 North 76th Place). The night will be held from

5:30-9:30PM and includes a light dinner, casino

games, silent auction, and raffles. See their parish

website, www.saintcatherinealexandria.org, for

more information. Tickets are $25 per person or $20

per person if you purchase three or more. (Only 150

tickets will be sold.) You can also stop at the

St. Catherine parish office from 8:30AM-3:30PM,

Monday-Friday. Call 414-365-2020 if you have

questions.

Rent a table at the Rummage Sale The Parish Rummage Sale will take place on

Saturday, March 14. If you have treasures with which

you are ready to part, please consider renting a table.

Rent one with a friend for even more fun. Table

rental is $18 for one table, or $15 per table for two or

more tables. For more details or to receive a table

rental application, please contact the parish office at

414-358-4600 or stbernadette@archmil.org.

A special invitation to volunteers All ministers and volunteers of St. Bernadette Parish are

invited to attend a reception in their honor in appreciation for

their ministries and contributions that enable St. Bernadette to

serve one another and the larger faith community. It will take

place on Saturday, February 21, at 6:00PM, in the parish hall.

This invitation is extended to adults and younger parishioners

who share their gifts and time in parish ministries and

activities. Plan on participating in this special tribute to

ministers and volunteers of the St. Bernadette Parish family.

Christian Formation First Communion preparation for children ~ First Communion

preparation classes for children who are seven years old begins on

February 7, from 1:00 to 2:00PM, in the Granville Room at

St. Catherine of Alexandria. There are a total of three classes and one

retreat. Please contact Lorrie Maples for more information.

Baptism preparation sessions ~ Baptism can be conferred at any

age, but the norm in the Catholic Church of the Latin Rite is infant

baptism. Parents of infants receive catechetical instruction in order

to understand the Rite of Baptism, the supportive role of the

community, the responsibilities of parents and sponsors in the daily

faith formation of the child, and to nourish their own faith life. If you

are the parent of an infant or are expecting a child soon, please

contact Lorrie Maples to register. The sessions are the second

Tuesday of each month at St. Catherine of Alexandria. The next

session will take place on February 10. To schedule the Rite of

Baptism itself, contact your respective parish office.

Society of St. Vincent de Paul In the Gospel today we read that because Jesus spoke with authority,

his reputation spread throughout the surrounding region of Galilee.

As his disciples, we can also speak with authority when we put our

faith into action by helping the poor and suffering.

Society of St. Vincent de Paul?
