Hall, will be at Canio’s Books in Sag Harbor to read original stories in the Joycean tradition. The evening will also feature a Joyce-inspired performance by actor and vocalist Mark Singer. The 2nd Annual Paws Across The Hamptons Dog Walk took place on Saturday to benefit the Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation. The event attracted over 200 walkers. Chuck and Ellen Scarborough, Andy Sabin, Jean and Martin Shafiroff, Karen LeFrak, Southampton Village Mayor Mark Epley and his wife Marianne, Bob Chaloner and Jane and Bob Edelman were among the huge wave of walkers. Hampton Coffee Company provided coffee and Jim Turner played music.

in the one women show My Brilliant Divorce is spectacular. The American premier of My Brilliant Divorce is Bay Street Theatre's first main stage production of the season.

Draper brings to life a middle aged women going through the ups and downs of a new divorce. Her husband, “the round head,” as she refers to him, leaves her for a younger woman at the same time her daughter moves out of their London home. She’s left to cope with a disapproving mother, and a shifty attorney. The production is poignant, insightful and very funny.

The next few years for Angela are tough. She becomes depressed, a l i ena t ed and s u f f e r s f r om hypochondria . . . Did I mention that this is a comedy? During these hardships she manages to have the audience in stitches, while bringing us to tears at just the right moments.

The production by Geraldine Aron is directed by Matt McGrath. Draper, who does a wonderful job, embraces the audience. She is no stranger to the stage with broadway credits including Closer, Brooklyn Boy, and Crazy He Calls Me. Off the stage she is currently filming a role in Steven Soderbergh's Bitter Pill. You have also seen Draper in Showtimes series "The Big C," and in the film My Idiot Brother and ABC's series "Thirtysomething."

School’S out Benefit

By Jessica MackinI LUV a good comedy, so I was

thrilled to see LUV, at Guild Hall in East Hampton. The show is written by Murray Schisgal and directed by Lonny Price. It is a production that does not disappoint. The audience was LUVing every moment.

The show stars up-and-coming TV star Kahan James who plays Harry Berlin, a suicidal, half crazy, man looking for meaning in life. Obie-winner Robert Stanton plays Milt Manville, Harry Berlin's college buddy that intervenes with his suicide attempt at the Brooklyn Bridge. Emerging star Jennifer Regan plays Ellen Manville, Milts wife, an intellectual, he is trying to divorce.

In a stunning performance by all three, Milt convinces Harry to fall in love with his wife Ellen as a way to get his life back on track, and solve

Harry's marital problems. What unfolds is a hilarious

comedy about the tangled web of relat ionships between the three. What happens next? That’s something you'll have to find out for yourself.

The Tony Award nominated LUV opened on Broadway in 1964 and helped establish the careers of the likes of Alan Arkin, Anne Jackson, and Eli Wallach. A timeless story to this day.

Very few comedians had the talent to make people laugh simply by talking, but Paul Lynde, best known for his work on “Hollywood Squares,” was nothing short of hilarious, and filled the center square from 1968 through 1981.

Lynde, raised in Ohio, studied drama at Northwestern University with such future luminaries as Cloris Leachman, Patricia Neal, and Claude Atkins.

Lynde worked on Broadway and television in the 50s and his role as the father in Bye Bye Birdie, on Broadway and then in the movie, made him a star.

It seemed he was everywhere from then on: numerous guest appearances on TV (He was Uncle Arthur on “Bewitched”), voice over for many Hanna-Barbara cartoons, and a dozen movies, including Beach Blanket Bingo. He even recorded an album of original songs.

His snarky putdowns were always clever but sometimes nasty; Lynde had a drinking problem that haunted him throughout his career.

Lynde died of a heart attack in 1982, but he lives on in numerous cartoon characters that have adopted his unique campy voice pattern, which he in turn “borrowed” from Alice Ghostley.

Michael Airington, along with the Lynde family, tours with his popular show “An Evening With Paul Lynde” in which he lovingly recreates the iconic comedian.

Your Sister’s Sister (R) Director Lynn Shelton hasn’t had much commercial success – or artistic either, for that matter – with bombs like Humpday – but she fashioned a complex and rewarding dramedy with this one. Shelton attracted an excellent cast, and Emily Blunt, Mark Duplass, and Rosemarie DeWitt play off each other like seasoned pros. Part family drama, part sex farce, the film is convoluted but undeniably original.

Speaking of R rated dramedies starring Mark Duplass, here’s another one, opening almost simultaneously.

Newcomer Colin Trevorrow, working off a script from Derek Connolly, directs Duplass as an eccentric supermarket clerk who believes in time travel. It’s quirky and funny, and it comes from the folks who brought us Little Miss Sunshine. Like that movie, it’s a little film with a big heart. Jeff Garlin and Kristin Bell co-star.

(Alien, Blade Runner) is back in the Sci-Fi genre, and he delivers a terrifying epic sure to be one of the summer’s most popular movies. Noomi Rapace (The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo) leads a stellar cast that includes Charlize Theron, Michael Fassbender, and Guy Pearce. Don’t miss it.

The Loved Ones (NR) New director Dean Burns mines the Carrie vein with delightful results. When Lola asks Brent to take her to the prom and he says no Lola exacts her revenge – and bad things happen. It’s a good date flick.

High School (R) It’s the summer season, and the teens love going to the movies. This comedy about an honor student who takes a toke and then finds out he has to take a mandatory drug test, should itch the scratch. Adrien Brody is delightfully over-the-top as the local drug dealer. All the Cheech and Chong stoner moves are on display, and every pot cliché used. In other words, the youth of America will relate.

Moonrise Kingdom * (PG-13) Wes Anderson (Bottle Rocket, Royal Tennenbaums) has assembled an incredible cast for this tale of two 12 year olds who run away into the wilderness as a violent storm approaches a New England island circa 1965. Bruce Willis plays the local sheriff, Ed Norton a scout leader, and Frances McDormand the mother of the girl as the frantic search intensifies with each passing hour. The well known French restaurant Beaumarchais has moved east from the Meat Packing District to open an outpost on Three Mile Harbor in East Hampton, properly named Beaumarchais A La Plage. After learning about their globally popular, over-the-top brunch parties I decided to try the famous "beau brunch" for myself.

This is not your average brunch, it's a brunch party. Upon entering Beaumarcais you are transported to the French Riviera as the international DJ's play. Be ready to pop bottles and have your dancing shoes on. In true "beau brunch" fashion we started with a glass of Veuve Clicqout champagne, a light beverage in comparison to the table next to us that had ordered a bottle of Grey Goose for their table of four.

At this brunch you're going to want to dance. It's a great place to go with a group celebrating a special occasion, even if the occasion is just

that it's a Saturday and you're in the Hamptons. If you're looking for a great party along with top of the line cuisine, this is the place to go.

My friend and I decided to split the tartare de thon, tuna tartare with avocado and plantain chips. The

tuna was fresh and it was prepared beautifully. For our entrees, the omelette of the day and legumes grilles, the chef's daily assortment of grilled vegetables. Both were a perfect brunch meal. Other menu items include le burger Beaumarcais, ground sirloin with lettuce, tomato, pickles and choron sauce served on toasted brioche bread with pommes frites. Also try le croque monsieur,

ham, emmental and truffled creme fraiche on country bread.

Beaumarcais is open for dinner Friday through Sunday starting at 7 PM as well as late night for dancing. Beau brunch is from 2 to 6 PM on Saturday and Sunday. Starting July 4 through Labor Day the restaurant will be open Wednesday through Sunday for dinner.

Ingredients (serves 4)1 package of flour tortillas1 10 oz package of lentils

6 cloves of garlic4 c vegetable stock1 qt cherry tomatoes

1/2 gallon vegetable oil1 handful (sage) chopped

1 qt queso blancosalt and pepper

MethodFirst heat an oven to 400 degrees.

Carefully heat the vegetable oil to 350 degrees in a large pot. Wrap the garlic in aluminum foil and roast in the oven for 30 minutes.

Bring the four cups of vegetable stock to a boil. Add the lentils and bring down to a simmer. Allow the lentils to cook until all the stock is absorbed. When this happens add the roasted garlic to the lentil mixture. Season to your liking, and pulse three or four times in a food processor. This will help maintain some texture in your dip rather than pureeing it.

the tortillas. First cut them up into small triangles, then fry them two or three handfuls at a time, so as not to overcrowd the pot. Remove with a strainer and transfer over to a dry towel to drain.

To plate, simply cover some chips with a bit of the lentil dip then crumble some queso blanco over top and finish with some chopped cherry tomatoes and freshly chopped sage.
