GENERAL INFORMATION SHOW OFFICE: Phone number is 636-561-8080 as of Tuesday, April 6, 2021.
The show office is located off the main lobby.
ENTRIES CLOSE Saturday, March 28, 2021. Entries postmarked after this date or received at the show will pay a post entry of $25 per new horse. Addi-tional classes for a pre-entered horse will not pay a penalty.
New entries must be made 1 hour prior to the start of the show. Mail entries complete with signed entry blank, fee payment and all photocopies of mem-bership cards and registration certificates to Show Secretary Kelly McFaul 206 S. Lark Ln, Wichita KS 67209.
INCOMPLETE ENTRIES: Entries lacking any of the above mentioned will be considered incomplete and may be returned. Exhibitor packets will not be given to exhibitors until entry is complete. All entries must be accompanied by a valid check or money order for the full amount of all fees made out to Bridlespur Horse Show. There will be an additional $50 charge for any check returned for any reason.
Entries will only be considered complete if copies of each of the following are sent with Entry Blank.A. Horse’s registration certificateB. Negative Coggins CertificateC. Check for TOTAL ENTRY written to Bridlespur Horse Show. No blank checks accepted!D. Credit Cards accepted with a 4% service fee.
All entries must be made in writing on an official entry blank for this show or photocopies of the same or enter online at horseshowsonline.com. Please use ink to complete entry blank. The complete address and phone number of the recorded owner or lessee must be given, even if an agent enters the horse. No horses may be entered on more than one form. One entry form per horse.
AWARDS: Prizes will be awarded 1st-6th in all classes.
WITHDRAWALS AND REFUNDS: Entries may be scratched from the show prior to Saturday, March 28, 2021. After the entry closing date, a refund of class fees will be made only if a written request accompanied by a veterinar-ian’s certificate is received in the show office. Stall fees will not be refunded. There will be a $25 fee for stop payment of a check when withdrawing entries. As a courtesy to other exhibitors and show management, each exhibitor is required to cancel all classes their horse will not be showing in so the gate will not be held. A penalty of $25 per class will be charged to all exhibitors who fail to notify management of class cancellations.
INDEMNITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK: All entries are made and accept-ed with the understanding that Bridlespur will not be responsible for any loss,
personal injury, or damage to any horse exhibited or for any article of any kind or nature that may be lost, destroyed or in any way damaged and each participant assumes the risk of any such injury and recognizes that partici-pation in activities involving horses is inherently risky. Each exhibitor will be responsible for any loss, damage or injury to any person, or any animal, or any property occasioned by him, his agents or employees, or by any animal owned or exhibited by him and shall indemnify Bridlespur against any and all loss, liability and damages of any kind or nature thus occasioned, including attorney fees, which may be incurred as a result thereof. Submission of an entry blank to the Show Secretary shall constitute an acceptance of each person signing same of the provisions herein set forth.
MISSOURI STATE HEALTH REQUIREMENTS: An official health certificate issued within 30 days of the show by a licensed veterinarian must accompany all horses not residing in the State of Missouri. A negative Coggins certificate issued within the past 12 months must accompany all horses. The health and original Coggins certificates must be available for inspection at the time of check in. Do not mail with your entry. In case of suspected unsoundness or as a safeguard against communicable disease, all horses are subject to physical inspection by the show veterinarian.
The Bridlespur Horse Show is held in compliance with all laws and regula-tions of the United States and the State of Missouri. All exhibitors are notified to comply therewith with special reference to the Horse Protection Act of 1970 as amended
STABLING: All horses entered must have a stall and will pay $155 for the show, or $80 per day. NO SHOWING OUT OF TRAILERS. All stalls are per-manent 10 x 10 stalls with doors and are under cover. Do not disassemble stalls! NEC wants $100 to move a stall partition with their help, or $200 if it’s done without them. No stall will be reserved without payment. Bedding must be purchased from the National Equestrian Center. Minimum two bales are required per stall. Do not place ANYTHING in a stall you are not paying for (dogs, wheelbarrows, trunks, etc.) The NEC will charge you.
CAMPERS AND HORSE TRAILERS: Camper hook-ups are available at $35/day, RVs $50/day. Showers are located within the barns. Camper ar-rangements must be made with National Equestrian Center 636.561.8080.
ARRIVAL TIME: Horses will be accepted Monday April 5 after 12:00 pm. Departure no later than 9:00 am Sunday, April 12. Early arrivals or late departures will pay an additional $25/day per stall. PLEASE NOTE that the NEC will be very strict about this!ARENAS: The show arenas are 120’ x 240’ with a GGT footing. The ad-joining warm up arena is 100’ x 200’ with a dirt and sand mixture. Exhibitors will be permitted to work horses in the show arena up to one-half hour prior to the start of a session. The show arena will not be available until Tuesday, April 6, 2021.
NOTE: Bridlespur Horse Show qualifies for the Monarch National Championships.
