(12/2/2019-12/12/2019) Admissions Process*: STEP 1: Pay the $100 Registration Fee (non-refundable: Registration Link) .

STEP 2: Submit your completed application packet, including all required documents by email to admissions@ayurveda.com.

STEP 3: Initial Phone Conversation is scheduled and completed with Admissions team.

STEP 4: Formal Interview (in person, or phone/skype) scheduled/completed with Admissions team.

STEP 5: Conditional Acceptance Letter sent. Applicant required to read and sign Student Handbook. Required tuition deposit of $399.00 (see “Financial Information" on page 5) must be paid.

STEP 6: Formal Acceptance Letter sent once all requirements in Step 5 fulfilled.

*Note for ASP 2 Transfer Students: • A placement exam will be required ($250, non-refundable) for all Transfer Students. • A minimum score on the placement exam will be required in order to be accepted into ASP2. If min-

imum score is not met, the applicant may be required to complete an additional course to be eligible for admission. Please contact Admissions team for further details.

Documents You Will Need: All applicants need to gather and submit the following documents as part of their Admission Packet. International students and students receiving VA benefits will need to include additional documents and information as detailed below.

Recent digital photograph - Please make sure it is in focus, well lit, that you are the only person in the photo, and it is from the waist up with a focus on your face.

A copy of your High School (Secondary school) Diploma or GED (for new applicants)

Most recent course transcript (either High School or Secondary Education)

ASP 2 Transfer Students: transcript from previous Ayurvedic Training course/school

Resume or CV - include details of all pertinent academic, employment, and volunteer history with related dates

Additional Documents for International Students We will need a copy of your current passport, passports for any spouse/dependent(s) traveling with you, and proof of income (bank statements). This information is needed in order for us to create an I-20 form. This I-20 form is necessary for the US Government to issue you an M1 Visa, which allows you to study here. International students will also need to complete an I-20 Request Form, which will be sent to you with your conditional acceptance letter and information if you are accepted into the program.

Additional Documents for Veterans and VA Beneficiaries The Ayurvedic Institute proudly accepts VA Education Benefits. Please contact the VA directly at 1-888-442-4551. The VA will issue you documentation of eligibility. When you receive this, please include it in your Application Packet. Additionally, you will need to provide us a copy of your Joint Service Transcripts, and transcripts from any other post-secondary education you have completed.

Additional Documents for the Panchakarma Training Program in Pune Proof of minimum Ayurvedic Health Counselor Education (either a Certificate or Transcript noting completion of program) is required to attend this program.

In order to reserve your spot, your tuition must be paid in full within 30 days of your acceptance to the program or at least 30 days prior to your program’s start date, whichever comes first.

*$100 registration fee is a 1-time non-refundable fee due when your application is submitted. Not included in ‘Total Tuition and Fees’. *$399 deposit is due upon conditional acceptance will be fully refundable up to 90 days prior to the first day of class of your program.

How do you plan on meeting the financial requirements of the program?

Essay Questions

The following essay questions are an opportunity for you to share more about yourself with us. Take your time with these questions, and answer with sincerity. You have the option to create a short 3-5 minute video of your responses (see instructions below), or type your response to submit with your application packet (limit to 3-4 paragraphs).

ASP 1 Candidates: What does Ayurveda mean to you? Why would you like to study Ayurveda? How would you see yourself utilizing Ayurveda upon completion of the program?

ASP 2 Candidates: Present a 5-minute business plan of how you will utilize Ayurveda after you graduate.

ASP 2 Transfer Candidates: Case Study Submission In addition to answering the ASP2 Candidates question above, please submit three (3) case studies that you have personal experience with. We are interested in your experience working with clients from start to finish. This includes, for example, how you assess (your process) and how you decide what recommendations to give or not give (and why). Your case studies must be typed, limit to one (1) page per case study.

VIOA India Program Candidates: • If you are an ASP Graduate - What do you hope to get out of the program in India?

• If you have NOT completed ASP - What do you consider to be your strengths as a practitioner? What would you like to improve on as a practitioner? Why have you chosen to study with Dr. Lad specifically? What do you hope to get out of the program in India? In addition to the questions listed above, please include one (1) case study that you have personal experience with. We are interested in your experience working with this client from start to finish. This includes, for example, how you assess (your process) and how you decide what recommendations to give or not give (and why). Your case study must be types, limit to one (1) page.
