students

April 9, 2020 Dear Student Lunch Participant: Due to the very low number of meals being served at this site and the need to provide staff to other locations, lunch service at J. Allen Axson Elementary will conclude on Monday, April 13. Beginning Tuesday, April 14, you will need to visit another school or bus stop to receive your meals. Chets Creek Elementary School is one nearby alternative site. Meals are also being delivered at school bus stops for neighborhood elementary schools. To find a bus stop close to your home, visit www.duvalschools.org/meals. Thank you for your understanding as we work to maintain safe and healthy meal distribution to students during this historic time.

Field-Trip Refunds Update

As you know all field-trips have been cancelled for this school year. Cynthia has processed and has sent

Blue Ridge checks in the mail this week. She will start processing Driftwood next. Currently we have not

received the refund check from Music USA we are still waiting for the check to arrive at Axson. Once the

check arrives at Axson, we will process those refunds. I am hopeful we may get the check from Music

USA next week.

Please use the letter that is attached to my communication to request a refund for any field trip that

you have paid for and has been cancelled. Please complete the information and return to us at your

earliest convenience. A correct mailing address will expedite the refund!
