All cables connecting the product to the network switchshall be shielded (STP) and intended for their specific use.Make sure that the network switch is properly grounded. Install the Hardware

Installing AXIS T81331. Connect the midspan (DATA IN) to the network switch using

a network cable.2. Connect the midspan (DATA & POWER OUT) to the camera

using the network cable that has been connected to thecamera.

3. Connect the midspan to a grounded (earthed) mains poweroutlet (100–240 V AC) using the supplied power cable.

4. Make sure that the LEDs on the midspan indicate the correctconditions. See Indicators, on page 8

NOTICENOTICENOTICE• Do not cover the midspan or block the airflow to the PoE with

any foreign objects. Keep the midspan away from excessive heatand humidity and free from vibration and dust.

• Ensure that the cable length from Etherhet network source tothe terminal does not exceed 100 m (330 ft). The PoE is not arepeater and does not amplify the Ethernet data signal.

• If a splitter is to be used, make sure it is connected close to theterminal and not on the midspan.

• No ON-OFF switch exists, simply plug the midspan into an ACpower source.

TroubleshootingAXIS T8133 does not power up

• Remove and re-apply power to the device and check theindicators during power up sequence.

• Verify that the voltage at the power inlet is between100 — 240 V AC.

• Verify that the power inlet cable is functional.The powered device does not operate

• Verify that the powered device is designed for PoE operation.• Verify that a standard Category 5/5e/6, straight-wired cable

with four pairs is used.• Verify that the input Ethernet cable is connected to the

DATA IN port.• Verify that the powered device is connected to the

DATA & POWER OUT port.• If an external power splitter is in use, verify that it works.• Verify that there is no short over on any of the twisted pair

cables or over the RJ45 connectors.• If possible reconnect the same powered device into a different

midspan.The end device operates, but there is no data link

• Verify that the port on the front panel is continuously lit.• Verify that a standard Category 5/5e/6, straight-wired cable

with four pairs is used.• Verify that the Ethernet cable length is less than

100 m (330 ft) from the Ethernet source to the load/remoteterminal.

• If an external power splitter is in use, verify that it works.• If possible reconnect the same powered device into a different

midspan.

Installation du matériel

Installation de l'injecteur AXIS T8133

1. Branchez l'injecteur (DONNÉES D'ENTRÉE) au commutateurréseau à l'aide d'un câble réseau.

2. Branchez l'injecteur (DONNÉES ET ALIMENTATION DE SORTIE) àla caméra via le câble réseau qui a été branché à la caméra.

AVISAVISAVIS• Ne recouvrez pas l’injecteur et ne bloquez pas son système

d’aération par des corps étrangers. Conservez l'injecteur à l'abride toute chaleur ou humidité excessive, des vibrations et de lapoussière.

• Veillez à ce que la longueur de câble entre la source du réseauEthernet et le terminal ne dépasse pas 100 m (330 pi.). Le PoEn'est pas un répéteur et n'amplifie pas le signal des donnéesEthernet.

• Si vous utilisez un diviseur, assurez-vous qu'il est raccordé prèsde la borne et non pas à l'injecteur.

• Il n'existe pas d'interrupteur Marche/Arrêt. Il suffit de brancherl’injecteur sur une prise de courant CA pour le mettre en marche.

DépannageL'AXIS T8133 ne s'allume pas

• Mettez l'appareil hors tension et rallumez-le en vérifiant lesindicateurs pendant la mise sous tension.

• Vérifiez que la tension à l’arrivée se situe entre 100 et 240 V CA.• Vérifiez que le câble d'alimentation fonctionne.

L'appareil sous tension ne fonctionne pas

• Vérifiez que l'appareil sous tension a bien été conçu pour unfonctionnement PoE.

• Vérifiez que vous utilisez un câble droit standard decatégorie 5/5e/6 à quatre paires de fils.

• Vérifiez que le câble Ethernet d'entrée est branché sur le portde DONNÉES D'ENTRÉE.

• Vérifiez que l'appareil sous tension est bien raccordé au portDONNÉES ET ALIMENTATION DE SORTIE.

• Si un diviseur d’alimentation externe est utilisé, vérifiez qu'ilfonctionne.

• Vérifiez qu’il n’y a pas de court-circuit sur les câbles à pairestorsadées ni sur les connecteurs RJ45.

• Si possible, reconnectez le même appareil en fonctionnementdans un injecteur différent.

L'appareil fonctionne, mais aucune liaison de données n'est établie

• Vérifiez que le voyant du port à l'avant de l'appareil est alluméen continu.

Luftstrom zum PoE nicht mit Fremdkörpern. Halten Sie denMidspan von übermäßiger Wärme und Feuchtigkeit fern undsetzen Sie ihn weder Vibrationen noch Staub aus.

• Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Kabellänge von derEthernet-Netzwerkquelle zum Endgerät 100 Meter nichtüberschreitet. Der PoE ist kein Repeater und verstärkt dahernicht das Datensignal der Ethernet-Verbindung.

• Falls Sie einen Splitter verwenden, stellen Sie sicher, dass er inder Nähe des Endgeräts und nicht am Midspan angeschlossenist.

• Es gibt keinen Netzschalter; schließen Sie den Midspan einfachan eine Netzstromquelle an.

• Asegúrese de que la longitud del cable desde el origen de la redEthernet hasta el terminal no supera los 100 m. La unidad PoEno es un repetidor y no amplía la señal de datos de Ethernet.

• Si va a utilizar una unidad de distribución, asegúrese de queestá conectada cerca del terminal y no en el midspan.

• No existe ningún interruptor de encendido ON-OFF: solo tieneque conectar el midspan a una toma de corriente de CA.

2. カメラに接続したネットワークケーブルをミッドスパンの ((DATA & POWER OUT) に接続します。

3. 付属の電源ケーブルを使用して、ミッドスパンを接地 (アース) されたコンセント (100–240 V AC) に接続します。

4. ミッドスパンのLEDが正しい状態を示しているか確認します。インジケーター, ページ 66を参照してください。

注注注記記記• ミッドスパンを覆ったり、PoEへの通気が障害物によって遮られないようにします。ミッドスパンは極端な高温や高湿度、振動やホコリを避けて設置してください。

• イーサネットネットワークのソースから端末機器までのケーブルの長さが100 mを超えないようにします。PoEは中継装置ではなく、イーサネットデータ信号を増幅しません。

• スプリッターを使用する場合は、ミッドスパンではなく端末装置に近いポイントに接続してください。

• ミッドスパンをAC電源に接続してください。ON‑OFFスイッチはありません。
