When speaking about Awwz, conventional genres will likely not be brought up. How do you describe music that transmits sensations which are better understood outside of musical terms? This unique label can escape you.

That’s #showermusic by Awwz. A musical universe influenced by the future beats, pop, and contemporary R&B, through which the Barcelona native stimulates the listener’s libido through sinuous cadences, velvet vocals, and vaporous textures that cloud the senses. This is demonstrated through her work on labels such as Galaxxxy Sandwich (on the acclaimed ‘Glid’ EP), Finesse Records, or Nacional Records; and collabora-tions with Demmy Sober, Lost Twin, BSN Posse, Bearoid, Teen Flirt and Adrian B.

Soon to be added to her catalogue will be ‘Visa’ with Yaw Mini and F. Dowell, and ‘SUAVE’ with Javier Simón. Awwz will continue to immerse us in the sound imagery with these two new singles, which have already conquered some of the most important spots in Spain (usually during the nights of Fuego y Trill), The United Kingdom, Italy, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, Peru, and Guatemala, to name a few.

It is through that and her appearances in media like Tentaciones, Billboard, Thump, Noisey, Remezcla that she has gotten into the spotlight of Spanish and Latin American music. This can also be attested by her appearances at Sónar Festival (in Barcelona and Buenos Aires), Primavera Sound, DGTL, or Trópico Mexico, and her debut in Boiler Room.

We can’t forget about the versatility Awwz demonstrates outside of these events. Her ability to dance in whatever the context, has been enjoyed in museums such as Somerset House, MATE, and Arts Santa Monica.
