For more than a decade the Young Entrepreneur Awards have been unearthing top business talent around the

country and recognising the outstanding achievements of these business leaders every year. But 2020 was no

normal year. Many founders told Business News Australia of the calamity and chaos that was this global pandem-

ic. Some were impacted by border closures, gathering limits, or lockdowns. Others were pandemic-proof and

managed to ride the economic conditions of the crisis to grow steadily, and in some cases exponentially.

In speaking to our finalists across the country most of the entrepreneurs were proud of the efforts they had tak-

en to stay open, to keep their staff on the books and working from home where possible, and to give back to

their local communities that were isolated, hurting, and at risk.

Each and every finalist in the Young Entrepreneur Awards 2020 has a reason to celebrate – surviving this year

alone was one challenge, but to grow and capture opportunity despite the uncertainty and volatile conditions

Here at Business News Australia we have been watching closely how businesses have been impacted by

the COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting economic headwinds. However, in testament to the strength

of this year’s Young Entrepreneur Awards finalists those listed below have not just survived – they’ve
