Hardware-as-a-Service

Whatever else IT is, it is not a good investment. IT equipment goes out of date quickly and loses value at a phenomenal rate.

Hardware-as-a-Service allows businesses to spread the cost of IT equipment over it’s useful life. This means the company has no large capital outlay, just up-to-date, quality equipment for a simple monthly fee.

We can provide desktops, laptops, servers, printers, firewalls and monitors and, as part of a fully managed contract, HaaS solutions are fully installed, configured and maintained by our engineers.

At the end of the agreed HaaS term we’ll simply upgrade all of your equipment to the latest versions, again with no capital outlay. You simply continue to pay your monthly fee, or you can purchase the equipment outright, giving you complete flexibility.

The business was initially housed at Mercury House on the Shipstones Business park in Nottingham and Simon and Lee soon expanded – taking on their first employee in 2010.

The business started to grow and as well as providing IT support to businesses in Nottingham they started to branch out into Derby, Leicester and Sheffield – taking on more skilled engineers along the way.

By 2014 the team had outgrown the offices at Mercury House and moved to the brand new NBV Enterprise Centre on David Lane in Nottingham, providing IT support for fellow tenants and playing a key role in the design of the IT infrastructure for the centre.

In 2015 the business became an award-winning Managed Service provider, landing the ‘Best Small Business Award’ at the East Midlands Chamber of Commerce Awards. The hard work that Lee, Simon and the rest of the team had put in over the past 6 years had been recognised and the celebrations were epic!

Not content to rest on their laurels growth has continued apace. As well as hitting over 100 clients and increasing turnover to £650,000 at the beginning of 2017 the business purchased its own premises at Unit 8 Farrington Way, Nottingham and a new era has begun.

Subsequently the company has been a finalist in the Excellence in Customer Service award at the 2017 East Midlands Chamber Business Awards and a finalist in the At Your Service category at the Small Awards, national awards recognising the impact of small businesses sponsored by Facebook.

2018 saw Craig Pearson gain promotion to the Senior Management Team alongside owners Lee and Simon, as Director of Sales & Marketing. In July 2018 the business gained international recognition, achieving a place in the top 501 Managed Service Providers in the world.

The 2018 MSP 501 list is based on data collected by Channel Futures and its sister site, Channel Partners, and is the largest and most comprehensive ranking of Managed Service Providers. Your IT was ranked the No. 1 small MSP in the East Midlands, No.2 in the UK and made the top 20 in UK of ALL MSP’s.

Your IT now employs 12 staff and supports customers as diverse as recruitment agencies, plumbers, solicitors and digital marketing agencies ranging from under 10 users to well over 100. Much has changed over the past 9 years however the company has maintained that original vision and continue to provide a customer focused, efficient and high-quality IT Support Service.

Your IT Department was formed by Directors Lee Hewson and Simon Cox back in 2009. Lee and Simon had a simple vision; to provide a customer focused, efficient and high-quality IT Support service to businesses in Nottingham.
