Ed Broad has a combined experience

of 43 years as a helicopter and airplane

pilot. He has accumulated over 14,000

hours of combined flight hours including

11,000 hours in a wide variety of military

and commercial helicopters of which

10,000 hours are in turbine powered aircraft. Ed’s flight time includes

2000 hours of multi engine airplane pilot experience. Ed has served

much of his career as director of operations and chief pilot for air

medical rescue companies. He also accumulated 4000 hours of

military helicopter flight time of which 2000 hours were serviced as an

instrument flight examiner and NVG instructor.

COMPANY PROFILE

Tiger Performance was established in

1995 as a direct result of renowned Tom Gentry's

eventual fatal accident during the Key West

Offshore Powerboat Racing World Championships

in 1994. This accident led to the development of

several Survival Breathing Air Systems, SBA,

which are now used throughout the world in

every form of Powerboat Racing. They have been

credited with saving many lives and preventing

many serious injuries.

Since the safety products integrate with

communication systems, this led to the develop-

ment of high quality, mil spec, communication

systems, that are extremely durable and able to

withstand the demands of continuous use.

Tiger Performance also offers a complete line

of waterproof headset/helmet, radio/intercom

systems which are offered as OEM equipment

by many constructors and used by many

commercial, law enforcement and military opera-

tors.

Tiger Performance is a one-stop shop for

safety and communications products for the

marine and aviation markets. The company offers

complete radio, electronics and safety products

MSA GALLET LA100/LH050/LH250 Helmet Sizing Chart

The mSa la100/lH050/lH250 helmets have two shell sizes, medium and large. The medium shell size fits head sizes XS, S & m. The large shell size fits head

sizes of l, Xl & XXl. The medium helmet comes with a nape pad kit of 3 pads, XS, S & m thickness pads. The large helmet comes with a nape pad kit of 3 pads,

l, Xl & XXl thickness pads. Both the medium and large helmet kits come with the same comfort liner with 3 different thickness interchangeable pads for the 4

section of the comfort liner. The only item that has to be chosen for each customer other than choosing the correct size helmet shell is the edge roll. The medium

helmet uses either a XS, S or m edge roll. The large helmet uses either a l,Xl or XXl edge roll. The edge roll is usually sized for the persons head size but if the

head measurement is close to the next size then the next larger size is provided. if a group of people were sharing helmets then the thinnest edge roll is used, (medi-

um for the medium helmet shell and XXl for the large helmet shell). When sharing helmets you may use the optional removable zeta liner for sanitary purposes,

whereas each person is issued their own zeta liner of the correct thickness, inserting it when using the helmet then removing it for future use. The Velcro discs

that stack up behind the ear cups are used to move the ear cups closer of further away from the ears. a firm but not uncomfortable ear seal is the ideal. The most

comfortable fit is when using the thickest forehead foam insert in the comfort liner. To use the thickest forehead foam insert a thinner nape pad may have to be

used which will allow the helmet to be moved forward on the head to accommodate the thicker forehead foam pad. When using night vision goggles it is important

that the nape pad is a tight fit to prevent the helmet from rotating due to the weight of the goggles leveraging the front of the helmet.

2. Carefully remove the neck pad from one side (a part is made of

polystyrene (photo 2 above)).

CEP & CME HEARING KITS

The Communications earplug (CeP) was developed by the u.S. army aeromedical Research laboratory at fort Rucker, alabama to meet that goal. Test conductedwith aviation units fully demonstrated the capabilities of the CeP in actual operation environments found in all helicopters used in army aviation. The Cme & CePare devices that provide exceptional hearing protection.Custom molded earpieces (Cme) are custom fit from ear impressions provided by customer and provide even greater hearing protection than CeP, along with com-fort for long durations of usage. CeP hearing protection includes a miniature transducer and foam earplug that are coupled in a unique arrangement to yield a light weight, high quality communi-cations device that can be used alone or in combination with active earplugs with speakers. Combining the foam earplug and the sound transducer into a single unit results in a simple but effective approach to providing the user with excellent sound atten-uation and unparalleled speech intelligibility. The foam tip is attached to the transducer using a threaded hollow tube. This provides a pathway that allows soundto travel from the transducer, unimpeded, into the occluded ear canal. used ear tips are easily replaced because of the threaded design. foam ear tips are avail-able in three sizes.The noise reduction of the foam ear tips coupled with exceptional quality speech signals enable the user to achieve extremely high speech intelligibility in the nois-iest environments.The Cme & CeP can be worn in combination with other hearing protection reduces noise exposure to minimal levels. Tests conducted by the u.S. army showed reduc-tions of more than 30dB for low frequency noise spectra that are prevalent in helicopters.

Switlik's iSPlR brings advance military design and mission-proven durability to a single

place life raft available to mariners and pilots who are serious about their personal lifesav-

ing equipment.

for ferry pilots ordering without the vacuum sealing allows access to the Co2 cylinders,

allowing them to be removed for your flight home. non-vacuum sealed option provides

a 3 year service interval.

The u-shaped design allows the raft to be fully reversible, allowing quick, easy entry from

the water whichever side is up. With the sea anchor deployed, the iSPlR is designed to float

facing downwind, allowing the canopy to remain unzipped except during extreme weather

conditions.

The low slung floor design allows seating at a slight recline, lowering the center of

gravity well below the waterline, increasing stability while providing full back and arm sup-
