M-DCPS has adopted for this school year the K-12 Platform. Since 2000, K12 has been a leader in K–12 online education, putting quality hands-on and online curriculum directly into the homes of the students and families.
My School Online is accessed through Student Portal- Students must know how to log in. Please make sure your child logs in before Friday to ensure that they can access their portal. Should you need assistance with password and Window updates the school site will be open from 9:00 AM to 3:30PM to provide support.
My School Online includes support for English Language Learners, Special Education, Gifted, and Intervention.
Teachers will conduct face to face instruction via web conferencing technology, Class Connect-Virtual Classroom.
Therapy and/or counseling services will be provided digitally.
The K-12 Platform has a way to communicate between the home and the teacher, share daily/weekly schedule information and upload student assignments.
Parents and their children will participate in valuable learning and connecting activities.
Teachers have been receiving training on the new platform.
Students must have their cameras on during instruction with their full name (first and last name) NICKNAMES WILL NOT BE PERMITTED
Parents are urged to check their children’s immunization records to see if they are due for any mandated school entry vaccines. All M-DCPS students are required to have the mandatory school age vaccines for the 2020-2021 school year, including those participating exclusively via MSO.
