Introduction

Starting November 8, 2010 Avaya will m

ake available new offers to support Software Investm

ent Protection for upgrades from Heritage Nortel

licenses to Avaya Aura licenses. These offers are scheduled for implementation into ASD between February and M

ay, 2011. In the interim a

workaround process has been developed to support pricing and ordering for specific upgrades; including Core IP Telephony, Conferencing and

Self-service. This process uses a new ASIPP Tool that will be used by the Avaya Sales Factory to produce a report containing all the relevant

inform

ation needed to provide a price to the customer, process an order and m

ake Avaya database adjustm

ents downstream.

Upgrades will be covered under SRS contracts (if applicable as not all products are eligible). Transactional upgrades are also available if the

customer does not have SRS. See offers below:

and ASD Smasher file to TAM/CAM/NAM

-Enters or updates opportunity in SFDC with campaign code “UC ASIPP Global FY11 ASIPP Pricing Tool”

� If this is being done by a channel partner whom is not the “Partner on Record” in KRS, an Avaya SE will need to

conduct this portion of the data collection

OrderPro Download and File Format:

- OrderPro can be utilized on pre or post release 3.0 systems (3.0 and later systems only require KRS for the ASIPP Tool, although

OrderPro can assist with existing hardware and software utilization discovery). The OrderPro Report Summary report is used for

import into the ASIPP Tool. When importing a REPSUM file, that file needs to be in the form

at of REPSUM_<Name of File>.RTF.

SRS, PASS Plus SRS or Express Plus SRS Download and File Format

- It is important to identify if existing systems are equipped with SRS contracts as they m

ay be leveraged in the

migration/Consolidation process. SRS (or PASS Plus or Express Plus) can be viewed in the KRS system by clicking the SRS

button located beside the Download Envelope button from the KRS website at http://www.nortel.com/support/tools/krs/

- Only the partner who holds the contract can download the file and leverage the contract in the transaction

B. Runs ASD configuration for new system or license additions

Run quote as per the entitlements articulated in the introduction. This is very important or the request will be denied

o

If the customer is entitled to Avaya Aura Standard Edition but wants to go to Enterprise Edition, run the quote for Standard Edition and

the Design Center will add the SE to EE uplift via the ASIPP tool. If there is an existing Avaya Aura system the licenses are being

migrated to, it m

ust be at Enterprise Edition in order to use the SE to EE uplift for the m

igrated to licenses.

contract expires. These tracking codes will be available on January 10, 2011; and can only be used if the customer is ordering a “like-for-like”

service contract, and for an equal number of licenses. PASS / Express will be entitled to use SS tracking codes. PASS Plus / Express Plus

will be entitled to use SSU tracking codes.

It is important to note that any site flagged as “Decommission” will be set to “Inactive” in KRS once the new Avaya Aura licenses are activated in

PLDS (Avaya’s licensing system). This status of "Inactive" will freeze the System Site ID, so that future Software Expansion or Upgrades will not

be available.
