IntroductionBeginning in EMCreg Avamar 72 the Enterprise Manager (EM) feature will no longer beavailable in the Avamar software EMC Backup amp Recovery Manager replaces thefunctionality previously available in EM
Backup amp Recovery Manager 13 and later provides the ability to monitor report andperform basic administration tasks on multiple Avamar servers This technical note isdesigned to enhanceimprove the users transition from Avamar EM to Backup ampRecovery Manager Backup amp Recovery Manager functionality is mapped to thecorresponding EM functionality
Avamar Enterprise ManagerEnterprise Manager is the web-based multi system management console that providescentralized monitoring of multiple Avamar servers It helps monitor all Avamar servers inthe enterprise from a single web browser session Enterprise Manager is backwardcompatible and monitors multiple versions of Avamar The Enterprise Manager providesan overview for the following

l Capacity
l Succeeded and failed backups
l Reports
l Avamar client software version management
