UNEXPLAINED WARNING
LIGHTS
The process of determining why a dashboard light is on can tieup resources and result in unnecessary repairs being done orthe vehicle being sublet to another shop if you’re not equipped. If you complete the obvious repairs on a vehicle and adashboard warning light is still on, this can indicate manypossible things.
A Diagnostic scan will narrow the area of inspections andusually pinpoint the problem rather quickly when a diagnosticexpert is reading the data.
Warning Lights
Hybrid and electric vehicles can present an interesting challengewhen they come into a repair shop. These vehicles include a host ofadditional on-board electrical systems that are not as likely totrigger a warning light the way malfunctions in a traditional vehiclewould.
This means that there is no way to ensure the vehicle’s electricalsystems are working and reset properly without performing adiagnostic scan of all the systems to ensure all of the vehicle’scomponents are healthy.

WHY DO I NEED TO SCAN FORDEPLOYMENT DEVICES?
WHY DO I NEED TO SCAN FORDEPLOYMENT DEVICES?DEPLOYMENT DEVICES
A scan is a very effective way to determine the number andtype of deployment devices that exist within a vehicle andif/which devises have deployed during a collision.
A scan can also help determine if the Air bag control moduleneeds replacement due to the level of deployment.
Deployment Devices
In some cases, a completion scan can indicate that some parts of thevehicle still require additional repairs or calibration procedures. Alsomany systems that have been disturbed from damage or the repairprocess will need calibrations and resets performed to insure thevehicle will operate as intended when returned to the road.
Doing a completion scan with calibrations before you deliver thevehicle will help you to increase customer satisfaction and reduceunnecessary return visits.
