Research Engineer (2015 – Present)

Research Engineer responsible for the management of several projects regarding innovative distribution and transmission technologies. Lead many aspects of technology review, reports, documentation, and creation of standards of practice.

Lead efforts to implement ENGO (Edge of Network Grid Optimization) devices for trial research regarding voltage flattening in neighborhoods using small capacitors. Result: Supervised the operation and data from 100 ENGO devices

Created a standard for blasting construction in the vicinity of Southern Company’s transmission structures and underground utilities.

Lead project to install tap changer dial indicators on trial transformers at Southern Company’s substations to conduct research on more efficient methods of voltage regulation. Result: Helped to create standard for installation
