HAIPHONG MEGA INFRASTRUCTURE CLUSTER GATEWAY OF THE NORTH OF VIETNAM HAIPHONG PEOPLE’S COMMITTEE Haiphong, 26 th October 2015 To whom it may concern Subject: Invitation to Haiphong City Investment Seminar – November 2015 Dear Sirs and Madams, Haiphong city is a seaport city and the main gateway of north of Vietnam from the sea with an integrated transport hub with road, sea port and airport. With 100 years of industrial development and strategic location, Haiphong city has welcomed 400 FDI project from 34 different countries and territories with a total registered capital of more than 10 billion USD. Many international global investors had committed their investment in the city such as LG (Korea), Bridgestone (Japan), Fuji Xerox (Japan), GE (USA), Knauf (German), etc. Particularly, in recent 3 years, Haiphong is consolidating its position as the second most attractive city in the North with 113 projects of nearly 5 billion USD attracted in 2012 - 2014. Answering to this increasing demand of investors, Vietnamese government and Haiphong city authority have been focusing on improving the existing and developing new key infrastructure items (Lach Huyen International Deep Sea Port, Cat Bi International Airport, Hanoi - Haiphong Expressway) to better serve the region and ease doing business for the current manufacturers and potential investors. To update the interested parties about these substantial advancements, Haiphong People’s Committee is holding “Haiphong Mega Infrastructure Cluster - Gateway of the North of Vietnam” Seminar this November to impart the major game-changers in the city’s investment environment to the business community. Dinh Vu Industrial Zone JSC, the developer of 2,000 ha Industrial Cluster in the heart of this area, is co-organizing this event. The seminar event is also supported by Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) and Korean Trade Promotion Corporation (KOTRA).
