na karmaṇām anārambhān, naiṣkarmyaṁ puruṣo ’śnute na ca sannyasanād eva, siddhiṁ samadhigacchati—BG 3.4 Not by merely abstaining from work can one achieve freedom from reaction, nor by renunciation alone can one attain perfection..
