    OBJECTIVE

In order to maintain a building from defect failures and leads to structural

damages, a proper maintenance work is needed. Objective is needed so that the

owner of the regarded building should know what has to be given extra attention.

By analyzing the defects throughout the process of accomplishing this task,

there are several objectives can be list down:

    i. To recognize types of defect failures at the external and internal

    components of the regarded building.

ii. To categories the types of defect into several parts, from there a person

can know where to give extra attention before the defect leads to serious

    damage.

iv. Defect analysis will help maintaining the building structure and this will

give good view image to outsiders.

    METHODOLOGY

During the process of investigating and surveying, there were several

methods had been used in order to achieve the objective of analyzing the regarded

building. Equipments and tools had been provided for professionally used.

First of all, task was divided into small categories and into sub-groups. This is

to make the task easier and all data can be produce at the end of the process. Using

    the equipments and tools need skills. Each equipment has its own function. Eg;

moisture meter is being used to check the amount of humidity of a regarded material.

A theodolite is being used to get the height of a building. When all data such as the

height, length and etc had been produce, these data will be analysis and forms a

    whole report of analyzing.
