Where did the time go! I am still getting to know you! If I have not made contact with you yet, look for me to do so very soon! In addition to calls and visitations, I am inviting young adults and their families to join me for dinner and conversation! Let’s get connected! I want to meet you and get to know you! Options for dinner are, I cook, you cook, or I will treat you to dinner at a restaurant! If we go out to eat, I want to support a specific local restaurant in order to help them recover from the pandemic. Zoto’s is the restaurant I choose to support. Please let me know if there is a restaurant that is somehow more connected to Montgomery Square U.M.C. In preparation for the Fall, I would like to meet with all of the men of the church. In order to do so I ask that every man please respond to the survey on the next page for men only. Please indicate your first and second choice using the numbers “1” and “2”. Eastern Pennsylvania Annual Conference has been rescheduled to October 13-14, 2020. General Conference, which had originally been scheduled for May 5-May 15, 2020, has been postponed until 2021.
Annual Charge Conference Scheduled for Sept 26
Our yearly meeting will be held with our DS on Saturday, September 26, 3:00 PM. He will meet with our SPRC committee at 2:00 PM, prior to meeting with the full council. In recent years, this meeting had been done as a large group meeting with many churches, so this is a return to an individual church meeting. All forms are to be completed by Sept 4.
WORSHIP TIME WILL CHANGE TO 11 AM SEPTEMBER 6.
As you know, Pastor Vicky has a 2-point charge, with both
Chalfont and Montgomery Square. Chalfont will soon begin
their in-person worship and their worship time is 9:30 AM. To
allow her to greet them and arrive here in time for our service,
we will move to an 11:00 AM start on September 6.

NEW DISTRICT SUPERINTENDENT FOR EAST DISTRICT
Effective July 1, we have a new district superintendent, who is none other than Rev. Dr. Andrew L. Foster, III . You might remember that he is the husband of Pastor Lorraine Foster, who was our pastor just before Pastor Max came to us. His installation service will be held here at Montgomery Square UMC on Sunday, September 27 in the late afternoon. Dr. Foster and his wife, Pastor Lorraine Foster, surprised our congregation with a visit on a recent Sunday. We were happy to welcome him and his wife, and some of us had a chance to catch up. WELCOME!
CHRISTIAN EDUCATION has taken a back seat to COVID-19. We are looking for a way to connect with the children, even when we cannot hold class in person. Perhaps ZOOM. We are looking at some options. Stay tuned.

Since many of us are still worshiping while streaming instead of in person, the conference has arranged for free on-line giving for the local churches. It has been set up and can now be used. Instructions have been provided on our website and by email. Some copies will also be available on the table in the back of the sanctuary. Here’s a brief overview: Go to epaumc.org. At the top of the page, choose and click “Giving”. Scroll to and click on big red DONATE button. You will have the option to set up an account or just continue. Enter donation amount in “General Operating”, hit “Continue” to specify our church. Fill in information, click “I’m not a robot” and then click “Process”. (NOTE: you can now go to our website for a direct link)

and can be used to purchase a Shortie hoagie or apply to

For those who are attending worship in person, the UMW table will have grocery store gift cards and Wawa coupons available on Sunday mornings. Shirley Damm will then have them at her home, 176 Bent Pine Hill in Neshaminy Falls.
