RECAP: Parkwood Annual Yard Sale 2016
There were 33 neighbors who participated this year. Overall, the neighbors we have spoken
with were very happy with this years event. Friday was by far the best day for sales and a few
even sold out! There were not as many setting up on Saturday and it turned out to be a much
slower day all together. We would like to know if you think about next year holding the sale
one day( Friday). Having the sale during the Lavender Festival has always proven to be
beneficial so we will continue with that date. Let us know, we would love your input!
CAFÉ PARKWOOD
Café Parkwood is doing great and serving 40 plus residents (including deliveries) every Monday!
If you haven't been there yet give us a try! All residents are welcome.
August 29th we will be only serving deliveries and September 5th there will be no sit down or deliveries. We
apologize for any inconvenience, but will be taking a few days off and celebrate our anniversary. -Gary & Sandi
ICE CREAM SOCIAL - AUGUST 20TH @2PM
The Ice Cream Social will be sponsored and provided by Café Parkwood. Dessert, different flavors of homemade ice
cream (including a sugar/dairy free version) and toppings will be served. Donations will be accepted. Come join us
at the Clubhouse and fill your sweet tooth, SEE YOU THERE!!
Café Parkwood August Menu August 1st Baked Salmon, Fruit Salad, Brown Bread, Squash Casserole and bread pudding
August 8th Pork Ribs, Pasta Salad, Asparagus, Bread and Berry Crisp with homemade Ice Cream
August 15th Chicken Meatballs with a Orange Glaze served over a brown rice.
Salad bread green beans and Key Lime dessert.
August 22nd Beef Tips with Noodles, chopped green salad, roasted carrots, bread and a Chocolate Dessert.
August 29th (Established) DELIVERIES ONLY—No sit down dinners tonight.

Loretta Bilow will be our instructor and be suppling all the needed materials to make the coaster. If you have a sewing

October Events
October 15th at 2pm we will be having a Murder Mystery Dinner at the Clubhouse! This will be a sit
down dinner with an live mystery to watch. The meal will be a Green Salad, Beef Stew (chicken
stew as an alternative), Bread and a Mystery Dessert! There will be a sign up sheet at the clubhouse
starting in September. You must sign up to attend. Its going to be a BLAST! We are also looking
for neighbors to help out with the dinner and be a part of the mystery plot. If you have questions or
are interested in participating call Joy 683-7021 or email [email protected]
August Flu shots have been moved to September 29th and 30th 11-2pm .
More info will be posted as we get closer to the date.

Art & Craft Show—There is a lot of hidden talent among the residents in Parkwood, this would give them a chance to
display their talents.
Movie Night—This would be held once a month, the movie would be announced in the Newsletter.
