Governor Sue Ellspermann an- nounced that 20 companies from 11 Indiana counties have been named ‘Companies to Watch’ by the Office of Small Business and Entrepreneur- ship (OSBE). “I congratulate each of the Hoosier busi- nesses on being selected as one of Indiana’s ‘Compa- nies to Watch’ in 2015,” said Lt. Gov- ernor Ellspermann. “In Indiana we cel- ebrate success- ful companies and commit to policies that support and en- courage continued growth. We know that most future job expansion will oc- cur with companies like these being honored. They are already having a positive impact on our economy and we look forward to their greater contri- butions in the de- cades to come.” Three of the 20 'Companies to Watch' - Fine- line Graphics Inc. (MBE); MS Inspec- tion & Logistics Inc. (WBE); and Guidon Design Inc. (IVBE) - are state of Indiana certified businesses with the Division of Supplier Diver- sity (DSD). Fineline Graphics, Inc. has been certified with the Division of Sup- plier Diversity since 2004. Eligible companies must have six to 150 full- time employees and have generated between $750,000 to $100 million in annual revenue or capital. The 20 ‘Compa- nies to Watch’ were named after evalu- ating 50 nomina- tions for the awards and represent in- dustries ranging from real estate and construction/manu- facturing to infor- mation technology and food services. During 2014, these chosen companies had combined rev- enues in excess of $196 million and created 148 new jobs. This repre- sents an increase of 27.5% from 2013. Projecting contin- ued growth through 2015 includes a 23% revenue in- crease and 16% job growth for the standout com- panies. Lt. Governor Sue Ellspermann an-nounced that 20 companies from 11 Indiana counties have been named ‘Companies to Watch’ by the Office of Small Business and Entrepreneur-ship (OSBE).“I congratulate each of the Hoosier busi-nesses on being selected as one of Indiana’s ‘Compa-nies to Watch’ in 2015,” said Lt. Gov-ernor Ellspermann. “In Indiana we cel-ebrate success-ful companies and commit to policies that support and en-courage continued growth. We know that most future job expansion will oc-cur with companies like these being honored. They are already having a positive impact on our economy and we look forward to their greater contri-butions in the de-cades to come.”

Three of the 20 'Companies to Watch' - Fine-line Graphics Inc.(MBE); MS Inspec-

tion & Logistics Inc. (WBE); and Guidon Design Inc. (IVBE) - are state of Indiana certified businesses with the Division of Supplier Diver-sity (DSD). Fineline Graphics, Inc. has

been certified with the Division of Sup-plier Diversity since 2004.

The Mayor’s Breakfast kicked off Indiana Black Expo’s Busi-ness Conference Monday, July 13. Mayor Greg Ballard started the event with a speech about the ways his administration has worked to support minority com-munities in Indianapolis. He was followed by other key commu-nity figures who spoke to the overall positive trends that are happening in Indianapolis, not only for African Americans, but for all minorities. The climax of the breakfast was the Mayor’s awards ceremony.

Tuesday’s workshops included an overview of the procurement pro-cess for federal and state projects, contracting opportunities with the Indiana colleges and universities, as well as a professional education workshop put on by the US Hous-ing and Urban Development and Small Business Administration.Kathy Cabello, President of Cabel-lo Associates, emceed a Lunch & Learn session with keynote speak-er Carla A. Harris. Harris shared some of her "pearls of wisdom" from her new book "Strategize to Win."

IBE's Business Conference con-cluded with the Indiana Governor's Award Reception and IBE's Media Reception.

Leah Johnson, a senior at Indiana University-Bloomington received the Lynn Dean Ford Scholarship, and Raven Moody, a senior at Indi-ana University-Purdue University-Indianapolis received the Lis Daily Crawford Scholarship.
