There will be no Bible Study this month but Sunday Church Service will be held in the Chapel as usual. Bowling leagues will resume this month so remember to sign up for bowling. Volleyball comes inside and is accessible for all with our unique equipment that consists of fly swatters and a balloon! Did you know that Walt Disney grew up in Missouri? Come with us to visit his boyhood home in Marceline, Missouri and explore how the magic all started for that famous lit- tle mouse. The last two Muny performances are this month so you still have time to spend a summer night under the stars watching a great performance. The annual "Back to School Dance" is an opportunity to give back to our com- munity while having fun too! Cost of admission is one school supply item (for example a box of crayons, a folder, box of pencils, glue) so remember to bring your donation with you to the dance. Enjoy the local Community Thea- ter presentation of the situational comedy The Curious Savage at Act II. Visit the Botanical Gardens with us and ride the trolley while you enjoy a dazzling display of flowers and plants. Help us celebrate everyone’s August Birthday party with a Frozen theme. Join us in the SAS room during the hot dog days of August and stay cool while you enjoy fun stuff to do with friends.

8/4 Muny-Grease - Danny's and Sandy's love story. We will meet at the MUNY at 7:30. Sherifa is the group leader, phone number is 314-302-7155. Tickets are free but bring cash if you want to buy snacks 8/7 Six Flags-Come join the fun! You don’t have to ride the rides; there are games & shows too. Meet at the SAS at 9:00. Bring money for lunch; suggested amount is 15-20 dollars. Park admission CAN

can be paid through Master Charges. Disney Museum- Did you know that Walt Disney grew up in Mis-souri? Come with us to visit his boyhood home in Marceline, Missouri. Explore how the magic all started for that famous little mouse in Walt Disney’s hometown in Marceline, Mo. Meet at SAS 9:00. Bring funds for out to lunch and the museum admission is $5.00.

8/8 Movie– The movie is the comedy Single Mom’s Club.

8/8 Birthday Party- Let it go and celebrate August birthdays with a Frozen theme party. 8/9 Dance-The annual "Back to School Dance" is an opportunity to give back to our community while having fun too! Cost of admission is one school supply item (for example a box of cray-ons, a folder, box of pencils, glue) which you should bring with you to the dance. Volunteer Club should arrive half an hour early and stay half an hour after for setup and cleanup. 8/10 Play-Act 2 Community Theatre presents a situational com-edy The Curious Savage. We will meet at the Theatre at 1:30 pm. Tickets are $10.00 each and are non-refundable.

8/11 Hello Dolly— Hello, Dolly!" is a musical about Dolly doing some 'matchmaking'. Meet at the Muny's upper parking lot en-trance by 7:30pm. Please be prepared to either purchase or provide a drink due to being in the outdoor elements. Contact Angela for details.

8/16 Botanical Gardens Enjoy the beautiful flowers and plants of the Botanical Garden. The cost of the trolley is $4.00. Sherifa is the group leader, phone is 314-302-7155 8/16 Game night- Enjoy a Saturday night of games and friends and refreshments too. We will play some traditional table games as well as some larger group games like charades. Angela is group leader.

8/22 Cooking Class-We are learning to make deviled eggs and mock mojitos. Join us for a fun class of making finger foods and drinks. Sherifa is group leader. 8/23 Movie– The movie is the inspirational drama Heaven is for real. 8/23 Indoor Volleyball– Volleyball comes inside on this hot summer day and is accessible for all because our equipment consists of fly swatters and a balloon!
