August 2012 Updates:

Alma is off to conquer the world!

In the playgroup the theme was “God Made Me”. One week it was about feet, so Alma brought shoes that have flashing

lights to show off (left). Another week it was about the senses so she brought a scratch and sniff book in Hebrew (middle),

and one week it was about other lands so she brought a globe (previous slide). She has been enjoying the play area and is

more confident but will not let me go have a cup of tea.

The mothers and kids are very nice and she always finds something to do at the nice Anglican Church.

As Alma doesn’t go to child care yet,

she joins me at the art gallery when I try

to chat with my supervisor, Naomi.

The discussions are usually done while I run around the yard

after my wild toddler...

Luckily, Naomi is very understanding.

Alma loves the beautiful gallery’s gardens

Her favourite member of the gallery is Jack, the old German shepherd dog

Alma is a great shopping companion. She insists on walking everywhere and not sitting

in the pram (but knows that if she starts to pull everything off the shelves she goes

straight back into the pram, so she does her best to stay in control...)

She now loves sushi for an easy lunch.
