SUMMARY OF ACTIVITIES
1.0 EXPLORATION/DRILLING ACTIVITIES
Only Addax, Chevron, TOTAL, and SPDC carried out exploration/drilling activities this month. Drilling was carried out on
14 wells (Table1.0).
2.0 CRUDE OIL AND CONDENSATE
2.1 Production: Data on non- fiscalised production from several PSC/Independent companies was not available.
Consequently, the total figure of 33.75 million barrels can not be exactly the total quantity of non-fiscalised production.
MONTHLY PETROLEUM INFORMATION (MPI – August, 2011)iii
Fiscalised production total for the month was 74.70 million barrels representing 2.41 million barrels per day. This is
2.78% higher than the July production of 72.68 million barrels or 2.34 million barrels per day.
2.2 Lifting (Domestic and Export)
Total crude oil and condensates lifting for both domestic and export was about 77.72 million barrels. Oil companies lifted
42.92 million barrels (55.22%), while NNPC lifted 34.80 million barrels (44.78%).
Lifting by fiscal regime shows 46.02, 26.42, and 5.28 million barrels for JVC, PSC/SC, and other regimes respectively.
Out of NNPC’s liftings, 28.34 million barrels (Including 1,810,227, 7,142,661, 4,614,696, 100,000 barrels for MCA
Escrow (Qua Iboe), FIRS, Crude Exchange & MCA Escrow (Escravos) liftings respectively) was for Federation Account,
while 6.46 million barrels was for domestic use. These are shown in Table i and the corresponding chart on the next
page. Individual company liftings are also shown in Table 4.0

2.3 Lifting (Alternative Funding):
AF lifting was about 5 million barrels. NNPC lifted 1.65 million barrels (33%) while four companies (Shell, Chevron,
Mobil and Total E & P) lifted 3.35 million barrels (67%). Liftings by Companies are part of the JVCs export while the
lifting by NNPC adds to the Federation account lifting. Table ii on the next page gives further breakdown.
