NEIGHBOURLINK is looking for volunteers to help with the building of a wheelchair ramp at the Refuge centre (Right to Life). Five people are needed for August 14 from 1 pm 5 pm and 12 volunteers are required for August 15 from 8 am to 5 pm or until project is completed. FROM THE DEACONS: We have a BIG need for more volunteers to make the occasional meal for those who have recently had surgery or a baby. The more volunteers we have, the more the need is spread out over those willing to cook and help out. A simple casserole is much appreciated by those recovering. THANK YOU: Tom and Melissa Deelstra would like to thank the congregation for all the support we have received as we have welcomed Kate into our family. We are grateful for the prayers, meals, cards and words of affirmation. We feel blessed to be part of such a caring church community!

FROM THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES: We have recently purchased a defibrillator for Grace Church. A defibrillator is a small device which sends an electric shock which directly halts an abnormal heart rhythm and stimulates the heart to produce normal and cardiac patterns. At this time, we are asking individuals who have been trained in the use of a defibrillator to contact the BOT co-chairs either Gary Heyink or Martin Horneman. This will allow the committee to determine how many extra individuals need to receive training. Thank you!

Have you been trained to use a defibrillator? Please contact Gary Heyink (519-351-6229) or Martin Horneman (519-380-5499).
