Activity Type:  Listening, Writing, and Reading 

Time:  40-50 minutes 

Materials:  Worksheet and “Friendly Ideas” (note taking paper)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ikGUOTzRyzE&feature=youtu.be  

Instructions:  1. Students create or write a brief description of

their character or friend.

2. Students watch and listen to the Youtube clip

and write appropriate sentences using the target

grammar and verb box below. Colour change in

the video represents a change in which verb the

students will be using.

3. Once students have completed their

compositions, hand out the “Friendly Ideas”

note taking paper. Get students to pass their

compositions between themselves. Students

should take the opportunity to write things they

like from their friends compositions.

4. Students revise their compositions using

“Friendly Ideas”. Students should also

conference ideas with their teachers.
