BRIEF PARTICULARS OF THE WORK

1. Salient details of the work for tender are invited at as under :

S.No. Name of work 1. Supply & Installation of Acoustics, Audio and Video systems, Stage Lighting, Stage Curtains, Seating for the

Auditorium Hall at NCSCM , Anna University campus, Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

2 Supply of Installation of Acoustics, Audio and Video systems for the Convention Center, at NCSCM , Anna University campus, Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

2. The work site is situated at in NCSCM AUDITORIUM Chennai. 3. General features and major components of work are as under: (i) Acoustic treatment supply and installation for auditorium, convention center and Directors Board room (ii) Audio system supply and Installation for auditorium, convention center and Directors Board room (iii) Video system with video conferencing capability supply and installation for auditorium, convention center and Directors Board room (iv) Stage Lighting systems for the auditorium supply and installation (v) Stage Curtain systems for the auditorium supply and installation (vi) Seats for the auditorium Note: The above components’ are mentioned to give the tenderer only an idea of the type of work involved. The Employer will have the option to exclude any of the above items at the time of purchase and or include any other item as per their requirement. All Acoustic, Audio items & Video systems as per specification & BOQ. 4. Tenders are invited are from reputed, technically & financially sound contractors for the “AUDIO and VIDEO SYSTEM works of auditorium, at NCSCM, ANNA UNIVERSITY CAMPUS, Chennai” 5. The Time allowed for carrying out the total work will be 8 months. 6. PDF Copies of drawings and documents pertaining to the works are attached as a part of the tender 7. Tenderers are advised to inspect and examine the site and its surroundings and satisfy themselves before submitting their tenders as to the from and nature of the site, the means of access to the site, the accommodation they may require and in general shall themselves obtain all necessary information as to risks, contingencies and other circumstances which may influence or affect their tender. A tendered shall be deemed to have full knowledge of the site whether he inspects it or not and no extra charges consequent on any misunderstanding or otherwise shall be allowed. The tender shall be responsible for arranging and maintaining at his own cost all materials, tools & plants, water, electricity,

access, facilities for workers and all other service required for executing the work unless otherwise specifically provided for in the contract documents. Submission of a tender by a tendered implies that he has read this notice and all other contract and has made himself aware of the scope and specifications of the work to be done and local conditions and other factors having a bearing on the execution of the work.

SPECIAL NOTES TO TENDERERS

1 While quoting rates for each item of work, the contractor shall include for the following irrespective whether it has been mentioned or not in the description of the item without any extra claim/payment. 2 All items are to be supplied and placed in position. 3 As soon as the work is completed in all respect , the contractor should remove all surplus materials, equipment, packaging, debris waste materials etc. And clean the areas. 4 Any sub standard materials or equipment used during installation will be rejected and has to be replaced by the Contractor at his own cost . The rejected equipment shall be removed immediately. 5 The Contractor shall engage one competent and qualified Engineer at Site, solely for this Works, who shall take the instruction from the project Engineer/ Interior Designer and supervise the work. The work should not suffer due to lack of supervision (from the site). 6 The contractor is required to coordinate his work along with other agencies working at site. He has to reimburse any of the damage made by him or any of his representatives for any of the other agency or Engineer-in-charge at site. 7 Making of any cutout/ opening for electrical wiring/fitting in any of the item of false ceiling, partition, paneling masonry work etc and providing panels of the same finish in partitions paneling shall not be paid extra. 8 Unless otherwise provided specifically in the description of various items of the work. The rates tendered by the contractor shall be for complete items of work covering all materials labor ,carriage, royalties ,fees ,rents , sales tax, octroi , wastage, tool plant equipment, transport, temporary constructions over head charges and profits as well as general liabilities obligations and risks arising out of the condition of contract and carrying the work in part (s) or under /across /along pipes cables drains etc. Complete and shall apply to all heights depths leads and lifts . no extra charges whatsoever consequent on any misunderstanding or otherwise shall be allowed. 9 Any damage caused to the existing work including finished work by the Contractor while executing the work shall be got done by the contractor at his own cost. 10 The dimensions mentioned in drawing and specification will be verified at site before fabrication of any item and can vary by 5% during approval stage. 11 The safe custody and up-keep till handling over, is the sole responsibility of the contractor. The Contractor shall employ sufficient supervisory personnel and watchmen to ensure that the different items fabricated, supplied by him are kept in fine condition till they are handed over satisfactory. 12 All materials, articles and workmanship shall be the respective kind for the class of work described in the drawings and specifications. All materials ,so used in the different items of work shall be subject to the “BEST” used in the specifications shall mean that in the opinion of the Consultant/ owner there is no superior quality of finished of material or article in the market available in the nature of the particular item described in the schedule

of quantities. The consultant /owner shall have the power to make the contractor purchase and use such materials of particular make or from a particular source as may, in his opinion, be necessary for proper or reasonable compliance with specification and description of the different items of work. 13 The contractor shall keep the site of works neat clean during the execution of the work. Any debris found at or near the site of work shall be got removed immediately as and when so required by the main consultant or owner.

A ACOUSTIC WALL PANELS for AUDITORIUM AND CONVENTION CENTER

1 2" thick Slotted Wood Finish Wall Panel system on MasonryProviding and fixing wall panelling on existing masonrywith 50mm x 50mm Aluminum section framework of size600mmx600mm grids and filled with of acoustical insulation of 50 mm thickness as defined. The framework andacoustical infill is to be concealed behind the 15mm Slotted finishfire rated wood finish MDF panels from Topkaustik, Wood Fit,Armstrong, Sound Slats, RPG or equivalent approved vendors.The perforated wood finish panels must have a minimum perforation area of 12% or higher and is to be supplied with black RP Tissue or equivalent of approved quality. This should be completed as per details and diagrams provided.Rate shall be inclusive of installation on the frame workarrangements. Works will be inclusive of scaffolding and staging at all levels.
