Gender Of Respondents

Male Female

We have a decent mix of respondents genders, a ratio of 3:1 isn’t ideal but, at least it gives us some insight into what both genders like. However the data may be slightly biased due to the dominant number of males who answered compared to females.

Question 2. What Is Your Favourite Slasher Film?

Favourite Slasher Films Of Respondents

Halloween Scream Nightmare On Elm StreetCabin In The Woods

This shows that our group was correct in our type of Slasher, as Scream is second favourite in the survey. This shows that audiences enjoy a slightly more light-hearted film. We were planning on making our film a bit comical. As well as this, Scream is a self aware horror, and post modern, we were looking to incorporate these ideas into our film, partly by using the idea of intertextuality.

How The Respondents Consume Film This helps us decide how we are going to market our film. It appears most people view through online streaming. Therefore, we will most likely use viral marketing. Using social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter we will be able to reach our target market through careful targeting, as our demographic are younger, using viral marketing will be even easier as most young people are on social networking sites. Encouraging word of mouth will also be important.

Scariest Film LocationsThis backs up our idea that the woods would be the most frightening scene for a horror movie, in addition most of the other locations would be almost impossible to film in, so we got a little lucky here.

Demons Being ChasedBeing Killed Being Kidnapped

Question 10. What Colours Do You Associate With Slashers?

What Colours the Respondents Associate With Slashers
