Music Magazine SurveyVia Survey Monkey, I created this survey in order to collect results to discover popularity of certain magazines and their contents in order to be able to obtain information on how my own magazine should be.

The Survey ResultsLocating the region of most readers would allow for region specific content to be tailored to most readers. In this case the most common answer is Yorkshire and the Humber followed by areas close by.

The Survey ResultsThe most commonly type of magazine bought is monthly, this may be because monthly is easier to buy continuously in comparison to weekly as there would be less issues. The two most common genres are Rock firstly, closely followed by Alternative which gives me the most common theme to use for my magazine.

The Survey ResultsLooking at the results most readers would prefer a free CD and posters to any other type of promotion. This means I can include these as plugs on my front cover.

The Survey ResultsThese questions focusing on subscriptions to magazines show that readers are more likely to go out to buy individual magazines rather than be subscribed, however those who want to subscribe would subscribe via a website.

The Survey ResultsIn order to encourage readers to subscribe to the magazine, most said they would prefer to get free band merchandise for subscribing. This means I can incorporate this method of persuasion into my magazine.

The Survey ResultsIn order to find out which style of magazine was the most successful, I asked this question. Most readers said they preferred the layout of Kerrang, meaning for my magazine that that should be the style of layout that I follow.
