Audience Feedback

For my audience feedback, I showed my final products to 10 people who would be my target audience. I then asked them to

fill in a questionnaire on what they thought about my front cover, contents

page and double page spread. I have then written their comments onto this

slideshow.

1. What do you like best about my front cover?

“ I really like the colours used, they work well together ”“ The main person looks like a proper rock star! ”“ The bands that are mentioned are some of my favourite bands ““ The colour scheme is awesome ““ Bands. The bands are great. I’d definitely buy this mag... ”“ It looks professional, like a real magazine ““ The articles sound interesting and I’d want to read on ““ I like all the bands that are on it”“ My favourite colours are on the front cover! ““ It looks like a proper magazine”

2. What do you like best about my contents page?

“ I recognise some of the bands in the pictures ”“ The stuff that’s in the magazine sounds great ““ Pictures look really cool ““ It’s easy to find the bands you like ““ I like that the bands are highlighted so you can see them easier ““ I love the moshy photos ““ Easy to find certain articles ““ No wacky colour scheme to distract you from what’s important ““ More of my favourite bands mentioned ““ The style is good “

3. What do you like best about my double page spread?

“ The colour scheme is good ““ I like the band in the article ““ The quotes are funny”“ Red and black are my favourite colours ““ I love the effect of the picture all across the pages“ I like the quotes”“ The title font stand out ““ The colour scheme work well ““ I like that the picture is the background too ““ I like The Blackout “

4. What could be improved on my front cover?

“ The slogan should be bigger ““ There could be more colour ““ I think the background could have been more exciting ““ Maybe to font could be bolder ““ You could change the colour scheme ““ The sub-headings could have been a little bigger ““ The title would look better bolder ““ I don’t like the background ““ The main headline could look bolder ““ The main image could have a drum kit! “

5. What could be improved on my contents page?

“ The background could be coloured ““ Page numbers in bold ““ I don’t like that the bands are in bold”“ The list of articles could be clearer ““ It looks a bit plain... ““ I think the background could look better ““ I don’t like the colour red that is used“ Page numbers could be clearer ““ You could have put in a better background ““ It seems a little bit boring “

“ More images would have been nice ““ I think the colours were a bit too bright ““ The title’s too big ““ Nothing, I like it! ““ I don’t think the main picture is clear enough ““ It was a bit too in your face ““ Maybe a few more pictures ““ The text could have been bigger ““ The title’s too bold ““ I didn’t really like the colour scheme “

7. Do you think my images connotes the rock music genre? Why?

“ Yes, because they have instruments ““ Yes, I know the bands are rock bands ““Yes, they look like moshers ““ No, the front cover images isn’t rocky enough, but yeah the rest are rocky ““ Yes, because the have guitars and stuff ”“ Yep, the double page spread especially as it says “fuck the blackout” on it”“ No to the front cover, but yes to the rest because they look angry”“ Yes, they all have that rock genre attitude about them ““ Yes, the colours are dark and connote rock music”“ Yeah, the pictures are taken at gigs “

8. Would you consider buying this music magazine in a shop? Why?

“ Yes, the colours make it stand out ““ Yeah, because I like the bands that are mentioned ““ Yes, because the colour is appealing ““ Yes, my favourite bands are mentioned ““ No, because I don’t think it really stands out ““ Yes, I think the main image would really grab my attention ““ Yep, I like the bands in the magazine ““ Yes, I think the colours make it stand out ““ No, I don’t think it would really catch my attention ““ Yeah, I love the whole magazine”
