    The Croatian Ski Association has the pleasure of inviting all National Ski Associations to attend the competitions in Alpine Skiing for women and men, Audi FIS Ski World Cup “Snow Queen Trophy” 2021.

    The Audi FIS Ski World Cup “Snow Queen Trophy” competitions will be held at Sljeme Ski Resort above Zagreb, Croatia, the women’s slalom on January 3, 2021, and the men’s slalom on January 6, 2021.

    You will find all the important team-related information in this document.

    ENTRIESAccording to Article 3.9. of the FIS Alpine World Cup rules, teams must use the FIS online entry system for entries.

    Preliminary entries (Announcement of the team size) stating the estimated number of team members expected to come (competitors, coaches, accompanying persons and service personnel) should be sent as follows:

    - for the women’s race: - by November 29, 2020 - for the men’s race: - by November 29, 2020

    Final entries (Definitive registration) with the definitive list of names, as well as the arrival & departure dates must be sent as follows:

    We kindly ask all teams to state the exact date of arrival and departure in their entries.

    ACCOMODATIONAll teams and FIS officials will be accommodatedin the The Westin Zagreb Hotel in downtown Zagreb, which will be closed for the outside guests and will be access-only for the Red Bubble accredited group!

    In case the departure date for the women’s teams is January 3, 2021, the Organising Committee guarantees that the teams will have the right for the late check out after the race is finished, for athletes only.

    In case the departure date for the men’s teams is January 6, 2021, the Organising Committee guarantees that the teams will have the right for the late check out after the race is finished, for athletes only.

    The accommodation costs will be settled in accordance with the Rules for the Alpine FIS Ski World Cup 2020/2021.

    In case the accommodation is booked until January 4, 2021, for the women’s teams and January 7, 2021, for the men’s teams, and should the team leave earlier, the Organising Committee will have to calculate the accommodation costs on the basis of departure on January 4, 2021, for the women’s teams and January 7, 2021, for the men’s teams, as booked, regardless of the real date of departure.

    For all team members who wish to arrive before January 1, 2021 for the women’s teams, and who wish to stay at the hotel after January 7, 2021, for the men’s teams, the Organising Committee will provide the accommodation at the following accommodation rates:

    HOTEL REGISTRATION

    Entry to the hotel without accreditation is not allowed (security check at the entrance).

    All teams must register at the front desk located in the lobby of The Westin Zagreb Hotel.

    The Team Captain of each team will have to provide a credit card to guarantee all extra charges for all rooms of his/her team.

    Each person must fill out and sign a separate registration form.

    TEAM ACCREDITATION & ACCREDITATION OFFICE:

    The Accreditation office for teams is located in the “Maksimir” Hall in The Westin Zagreb Hotel NEW! (entrance from the outside - west side, next to the entrance to the “World Class” gym)

    It is necessary to pick up the accreditation prior to entering the hotel and before checking in!

    Access is allowed only to one representative per nation (usually Team Captain).

    All documents for each nation (accreditation, parking permits, and course access) will be prepared in advance.

    As the Organiser of the event, we are required to limit the number of accredited people due to the COVID-19 situation. Therefore, only the team officials are granted access to team and sports relevant areas, in line with the respective FIS quotas. People outside the applicable FIS quota are not allowed to enter the above-mentioned areas, and do not have the possibility to stay at Teams’ accommodation!

    At the time of registration, you will exchange the temporary hotel parking ticket, which you have obtained at the entrance gate when arriving, for a permanent one.

    TEAM MEALS

    Team meals will be provided in two large dining rooms: the Restaurant Kaptol located in the lobby level of The Westin Zagreb Hotel and 2/3 of Crystal Hall (ex-Team Captain’s Meeting room).Dedicated tables per teams (nations’ assignments will be posted at the entrance to each dining room.The meal schedule will be compatible with the training and competition schedule, and meals will be served as follows:

    Women’s Teams:Friday, January 1: - lunch: 12:00 – 15:00 - dinner: 19:00 – 23:00

    Saturday, January 2: - breakfast: 06:30 – 10:30 - lunch: 12:00 – 15:00 - dinner: 19:00 – 23:00

    Complimentary non-alcoholic drinks and beer will be provided with every meal in the restaurants serving meals.

    On the race days, Team Hospitality with food and beverages will be provided in the Restaurant Vidikovac and in two tents (150 m2 and 75 m2) next to it, at the top of Sljeme Ski Resort, just below the TV tower (3 separate areas in Vidikovac Restaurant + two tents in addition – in total five separate areas), where the official team lunch for athletes qualified for second run and their staff will be served as well.

    TRANSPORTATION DESK

    The Transportation Desk, for all team members who did not arrive by their own vehicle and / or need the transportation by official vehicles of the Organiser, shall be located opposite to the main entrance in The Westin Zagreb Hotel. The team members can reserve the transportation by official vehicle of the Organiser there. All team members who need such transportation are kindly asked to inform the Transportation Desk about it on time (the evening before at the latest)!

    TRANSPORTATION TO BERN on JAN 7, 2021:

    On January 07, there is a special charter flight from Zagreb to Bern will be organised in cooperation between FIS Travel Service, Croatia Airlines, and Croatian Ski Association, and operated by A319 aircraft with the following schedule:

    Shuttle buses to Zagreb Airport for the charter flight will be provided complimentary by the Croatian Ski Association leaving at 11:00 from The Westin Zagreb Hotel entrance.

    All charter flight passengers must be tested and then upload, either the negative Covid-19 PCR Test (saliva or swab test) result not older than 72 hours at the time of the flight departure (counting from the collection of the sample) or the positive Covid-19 PCR Test between 90 days and 14 days prior to the time of the flight departure, in the FIS Passport by January 7, 2021, until 9 a.m.!

    NEW GONDOLA (CABLE CAR) TO THE SKI RESORT, PARKING, AND PARKING PERMITS:All teams will exclusively use the new gondola to the ski resort with a direct exit to the Team Hospitality.Parking is organised in the new gondola garage on floors -1 and -2, exclusively reserved for Teams. Parking tickets and parking permits will be distributed at the time of accreditation.

    Parking permits for the training days on January 2, 2020 (women) and January 5, 2020 (men), are necessary for parking in the new gondola garage, and are the same as for the race days!

    TRANSPORTATIONNo Team convoys will be organised to the new ski gondola.

    Directions to the new gondola garage and back to the hotel will be marked on the roads and are shown on the enclosed maps.

    Transport of the team members from the Zagreb Airport to The Westin Zagreb Hotel (15-20 minute drive) and back will be organised upon the request of all interested team members from January 1 until January 7, 2021. We kindly ask all interested team members to send their request for the transport from the Zagreb Airport to The Westin Zagreb Hotel and, if necessary, back to the Zagreb Airport, to the E-mail address [email protected], or to contact directly Mr. Srđan Vučičević on the mobile phone +385-97-7086 718 or to sign up at the Transportation Desk in The Westin Zagreb Hotel.

    SKI WAXING ROOMS

    Every team will have a separate Ski waxing room for storing, preparation and waxing of skis at their disposal.

    The Ski waxing rooms are located in the garage of The Westin Zagreb Hotel and will be open as follows:

    - for the women’s teams: - from January 1 until January 4, 2021 - for the men’s teams: - from January 4 until January 7, 2021

    The Ski waxing rooms will have locks and security 24 hours a day.Keys for the Ski waxing rooms can be picked up at their entrance.

    The person in charge of the ski rooms is Mr. Davor Grgić (mobile phone: +385-98-1693 224). Enclosed is a map of the ski rooms in The Westin Zagreb Hotel.

    On the race days, January 3 (women’s race) and January 6 (men’s race), the ski waxing area with tables, lights, and heating for preparation of the skis between the two runs will be located in the garage of top station of the chairlift.

    RADIO FREQUENCIES

    We can offer to the teams up to three radio frequencies per team and gender for their use during the Audi FIS Ski World Cup “Snow Queen Trophy” 2021 - Zagreb/Sljeme.

    Please fill out your requested frequencies in the Radio frequencies request form, enclosed to the Team Invitation, only in case of any modification comparing to previous seasons, and send it to the Organising Committee not later than December 29, 2020, to the E-mail address [email protected].

    Radio Frequency check will be at the Team Captains’ meetings.

    FREE SKIING, OFFICIAL TRAINING AND WARM UP

    Free skiing on the Race course will be held, snow conditions permitting, as follows:

    - for women: - on the race day, January 3, from 10:15 to 10:25 hours, one run only, TBC at the Team Captains’ meeting - for men: - on the race day, January 6, from 10:00 to 10:10 hours, one run only, TBC at the Team Captains’ meeting

    Official training will be held on the “Zeleni spust” course, snow conditions permitting, as follows:

    - for women: - on January 2, from 10:00 to 13:00 hours

    - for men: - on January 5, from 10:00 to 13:00 hours

    Warm up will be held on the “Zeleni spust” course, snow conditions permitting, as follows:

    - for women: - on January 3,

    from 11:00 to 13:30 hours

    - for men: - on January 6, from 10:45 to 13:00 hours

    The Organising Committee will also provide training, snow conditions permitting, as follows:

    - on the “Zeleni spust” course - Slalom for women on January 4, from 10:00 to 12:00 hours

    - on the “Crveni spust” course (race course): - Giant slalom for men on January 7, from 09:00 to 10:30 hours

    - Slalom for men on January 7, from 10:45 to 12:30 hours

    PHYSICAL TRAINING

    Gym in The Westin Zagreb Hotel will be closed.

    Physical training for the Teams will be possible outdoors only, on the playground across the street from The Westin Zagreb Hotel •

    (‘’Srednjoškolsko igralište’’).

    TEAM DOCTORS’ MEETINGS

    Short info meetings of team doctors shall be held as follows:

    - for the women’s race: - on January 3, 2021, at 11:15, in the finish area at the end of course inspection

    - for the men’s race: - on January 6, 2021, at 11:00, in the finish area at the end of course inspection

    The Team Captains’ meetings will be held in the Crystal Hall (1/3) at The Westin Zagreb Hotel as follows:

    No public draws and no side events will be held.

    RULES

    • Audi FIS Ski World Cup “Snow Queen Trophy” will be held in accordance

    with the Rules for the Alpine FIS Ski World Cup 2020/21 and the FIS

    ICR Rules.

    • Number of competitors per nation is determined according to the

    Rules for the Alpine FIS Ski World Cup 2020/21 and the FIS World

    Cup Quotas.

    • Entry to the race course is allowed only to the persons with the

    FIS season course accreditations and the course accreditation

    issued by the Race Office in accordance to FIS regulations and

    quotas, and additionally the FIS Chief Race Directors after the

    Team captains’ meetings. The filled-out Course access list

    with names that each team captain will get at the time of

    the accreditation, need to be returned to Race office and,

    for additional requests, the same list has to be signed by

    the FIS Chief Race Director after the Team captains’

    meetings.• Every team member must at all times wear

    his/her accreditation, since the access to certain zones

    without accreditations will not be allowed.

    INSURANCE

    Competitors compete at their own risk.The National Ski Associations are responsible for an

    adequate insurance coverage for all their competitors (Art. 204.2 of the FIS ICR Rules).

    PAYMENT FOR ACCOMMODATION EXPENSES

    Voucher with the maximum number of nights according to the Rules for the Alpine FIS Ski World Cup 2020/21 will be sent

    out to the Teams by E-mail.In case of any doubts that cannot be solved by E-mail or by

    phone, a Team Captain will schedule a meeting with the Race Office.

    Race Office will notify the front desk of the hotel about the accommodation calculation for each team by E-mail.

    Team captains will present this voucher at the front desk at the checkout and will pay for all competitors and officials who are from

    the nations without World Cup Nations quotas (article 4.1.1. of the FIS World Cup rules) and for all extra nights for additional officials (if

    any) directly to the hotel at the rate of 120 CHF (equivalent in HRK) per person per night for full board, in accordance with the Rules for the Alpine

    FIS Ski World Cup 2020/21.

    Team captains are responsible for covering all team extra charges (telephone, mini-bar, pay TV, etc.).

    Payments for the accommodation with the arrival before January 1, 2021 for the women’s teams and with the departure after January 7, 2021 for the men’s teams,

    will be made independently of the issued vouchers and will be paid directly at the hotel front desk.

    TRAVEL EXPENSES

    Travel expenses will be paid by bank transfer to the accounts of respective National Ski Associations, in accordance with Article 5.4 of the Rules for the Alpine FIS Ski World Cup

    2020/21.

    Filled-out OC travel expense forms will be sent by E-mail not later than seven (7) working days after the end of the competition to the respective National Ski Associations together

    with the bank transfer confirmation.

    The prize money fund for the Audi FIS Ski World Cup “Snow Queen Trophy” 2021 races is 120,000 CHF for the women’s race and 120,000 CHF for the men’s race and will be distributed as follows, in gross amounts for each race separately:

    The Croatian State Tax will be deducted from the prize money in accordance with the Croatian Tax Law (16,8 % for foreign residents).Prize money will be paid by bank transfer to the competitors’ accounts, in accordance with Article 6 of the Rules for the Alpine FIS Ski World Cup 2020/21.The bank transfer confirmation and the prize money calculation forms will be sent to the competitors’ E-mail addresses not later than seven (7) working days after the end of the competition.All new racers who did not fill out and submit the Special Power of Attorney in the past years and who will be ranked in top 30 in Zagreb in 2021, must submit two copies of the filled-out and signed Special Power of Attorney to the Race Office, authorising the Croatian Ski Association to get a Croatian Personal Identification Number (OIB) on their behalf for the Croatian Tax Administration needs. Our recommendation is to submit it for all new racers in advance, because without it we cannot pay the prize money to the racers.Special Power of Attorney forms may be picked up in one of the Race Offices and will also be distributed to the Team Captains at the Team Captains’ meetings. It is also sent to the teams by E-mail together with the Team Invitation.

    Winners of the Audi FIS Ski World Cup “Snow Queen Trophy” 2021 races for women and men will get a crown and a cloak. In addition, names of the winners will be engraved on the transitional crown, which is being kept in the premises of the Croatian Ski Association, and during the races will be exhibited in the lobby of The Westin Zagreb Hotel.

    Both runner-up and third-place winners of the women’s and men’s race will get a statue with a snowflake, feature of the winner’s crown.

    The Press office will be open for all necessary information at Sheraton Zagreb Hotel.

    The Press Centre will be open on race days in the Restaurant Jezero in the finish area.

    Press conferences for the top three racers will be held via video conference from the Team Hospitality after the women’s and men’s races respectively:

    - for the women’s race: - on January 3, 2021, at about 17:45 hours - for the men’s race: - on January 6, 2021, at about 17:10 hours

    Press accreditation and accommodation forms, as well as all other necessary media information can be found on the official web site: www.snowqueentrophy.com

    We strongly recommend that all media representatives, including photographers and TV crews in possession of their own vehicles, go to the race in their own vehicles. Upon a prior request, they will receive parking passes with drop off at the finish area and parking on Krumpirište (1.3 km from the finish area) in the Press accreditation office.

    Transport from Krumpirište to the finish area and back will be organised with the Organiser’s official “shuttle” vehicles.

    For media representatives, including photographers and TV crews not having their own vehicles and requiring transportation to the finish area, a special “shuttle” will be organised with the Organiser’s official vehicles from Sheraton Zagreb Hotel to the finish area (Press centre) and back.
