Audacity Tutorial
If all 25 stations are being used, students can record using Audacity.
1. Open Start menu. 2. Click All Programs.
3. Click Audacity. (Click cancel in Install VST Effects popup)

If popups appear, Click No, Cancel, OK.
4. Click Record (red button) to begin recording.
5. Click Stop (tan square button) to end recording.
Note: To record additional tracks after the first recording, click Shift key (on keyboard) and Record button at the same time.
6. If recording, you will see blue wave forms and a line at the end of the recording.
7. To hear the recording, click Play (green arrow).

Export, Name and Save the recording 1. File>Export
2. Enter your name and
class period in the File name text field.
3. Click the dropdown arrow to open the Save as type dropdown menu.
4. Click MP3 Files. 5. Before you save, you
may need to change the folder location where the file will be saved.

6. Click the dropdown arrow in the Save in: field.
7. To collect files in Virtuoso with other
class files and save to L Drive. 8. Click Apps (\\STUCLUSTER) (L:)
9. You will need to open each subfile
folder to locate your class file. Click each folder to open it. See following for subfolder list.
