Dear Friends,
Welcome to the Event Name Gala! You can start this letter by talking about outpouring of support for your cause. This welcome letter can come from your executive director, development director or auction chair.
This is your opportunity to talk about the level of impact your organization has had. You can mention major accomplishments or share some goals you’ve established for the future. Be sure to share a specific example of how individual donations have helped you achieve your cause.
The objective is to make donors and their guests (potential donors!) feel like they're part of something bigger than themselves. Donors who feel like they're actually making a difference are more likely going to contribute more money during the event.
Thank everyone profusely for attending and supporting your mission and your organization. If it weren’t for them – you wouldn’t be able to do what you do!
This night is about the cause – but it’s also about showing your appreciation to your incredibly amazing donors who help make your philanthropic mission a reality.
