projects in Canton or any surrounding

Outreach Opportunities
Baggo, Pizza and Fellowship
“Saving Faith" revolves around Faith Scott and her Uncle
Donny. Faith is the Executive Director of the Ritz Theater in
the small Tennessee town of Clinton. After years of struggle
to keep the doors open it looks like it might be time to shut
them for good. In one last ditch effort to keep the theater
alive, Faith and Uncle Donny look to put together a big
Christmas show...in June. Using his connections, that Faith
knows nothing about, Uncle Donny is able to book a big
time headliner for the show - Vince Gill and Amy Grant.
Peter Marsh is a local business man in Clinton that has
been waiting for the Ritz to go under so he can buy it cheap
from the bank and sell it to a big time developer. When he
hears about the Vince Gill/Amy Grant show, he pulls out all
the stops to make sure the show does not go on. Uncle
Donny, Faith and their friends and family pull together to
make sure that they have done everything in their power to
keep the doors to the Ritz Theater open, but can they
succeed? PLEASE JOIN US AND BRING A FRIEND!
Summer Movie Night
Sunday, June 30 at 6:00 pm Wesley will be hosting a Baggo Game Night at the Wesley
Ministry Center starting in June.
We will meet the 1st and 3
rd Wednesday of the month
@ 6:00pm during the months of June, July and
August. A Baggo tournament will be held in September to
finish the league and declare the champions! If you are
interested please sign up in the church office or call the
office @ 309-647-1015. If you have a baggo board we
can borrow, please contact the office.
Peace With Justice Offering - June 16
Peace with Justice Sunday is one of six church wide Special Sundays with offerings of The United Methodist Church. Peace with Justice Sunday enables The United Methodist Church to have a voice in advocating for peace and justice through a broad spectrum of global programs. The special offering benefits peace with justice ministries in the annual conference and through the General Board of Church and Society.
Together, United Methodists do remarkable ministry around the world. We care for survivors recovering from earthquakes and storms; we invest, long term, in vulnerable communities; we implement the most effective solutions to diseases like malaria; we equip the next generation to lead the church and society. In all of this, we share the good news of Jesus Christ.
Thank You
We thank all of our Wesley Family for their prayers
and love during Tom’s fight against cancer, and as
Tom said, “It’s not all about the current situation, it’s
about God’s plan”. Roland and Sally
I want to thank Pastor Bruce for his visits, Pastor
Leanne and my church family for their prayers, cards
and concerns. They were greatly appreciated.

Missing Jacket
A men’s navy blue rain jacket (with bucket hat in pocket)
was taken from the coat rack last Sunday, May 27, at the
Ministry Center. If you picked this up by mistake, please
return it to the church office.
Wesley Mission Team
Please join us in prayer for our Wesley UMC Mission Team
to Budapest, Hungary, Lindsee Gage, Rene`e Gage, and
Mary Shoemaker. They leave this Thursday to share the
love of Christ as they teach conversational English and build
relationships with High School Students.
The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) brings
God’s hope, healing and renewal to people whose lives have
been disrupted by war, conflict or natural disaster. UMCOR
provides humanitarian relief and disaster response to people
in more than 80 countries, including the United States. With
the recent disasters in the US and around the world, your
prayers and gifts support this important ministry.
