Subject: Procedure to install the Operating software on the Thales PMAT Software Suite

1. Effectivity

This Service Information Letter is applicable to the Thales Avionics PMAT Software Suite PNRG2942AAC02 which is delivered with the Thales Avionics PMAT Master Media PNRF1422699.

2. Reason

This Service Information Letter is used to inform Operators of licence and installation processof PMAT software Suite used on ATR600 Avionics Suite.

3. Description

A. General

(1) Prerequisites

Before installing the PMAT Software Suite, it is essential:

(2) License Number procedure:

- On Windows system,execute MS Dos invite.

- On MS Dos window, promptVOL C and validate with

Enter key.

Note: If you want to installthe software on adifferent hard disk,you have to performthis command withthe correct hard diskletter instead of C.

- Write down the returnedvolume serial number. (In

this example: DC99-3129).

- On MS Dos window, type

ipconf ig /al l and validatewith enter key.

(3) Laptop network configuration for WIN XP professio nal

1) Disable the Windows firewall:

- On Windows, go to Control Panel.

- Select Windows Firewall and disablethe firewall.

2).Set the ATR IP address:

- On Windows, go to Control Panel.

-Select Network connection.

- On Network connection panel,perform a right click on local NetworkIcon.

- Select Properties.

- Select Internet Protocole (TCP/IP) andclick on 3Properties.

- Select Use the following IP address.

-On Under Network Mask or Subnetmask, type 255.0.0.0.

- Click on Ok.

(4) Laptop network configuration for Win 7 professional

1) Disable the Windows firewall:

- On Windows, go to Control

Panel.

- Select System and Security

- Select Turn Windows Firewallon or off and disable thefirewall.

2).Set the ATR IP address:

- On Windows, go to Networkconnection.

Note: Access by Win7 searchwindow, such asdefined on the picture.

- On Network connection panel,perform a right click on localNetwork Icon.

-Select Properties

Properties, check that all the items areselected except Internet protocol Version 6(TCP/IPv6)

- Select Internet Protocol Version 4(TCP/IPv4) and click on Properties

- Select Use the following IP address

- On IP address, type 10.11.0.0

- On Under Network Mask or Subnetmask, type 255.0.0.0

- Click on Ok

(5) PMAT Software Suite installa tion procedure

- Insert the PMAT Software Suite CDdedicated to the laptop.

- Select the executableDLD_Utilities_ATR.exe

- If the user is not in administrator

mode, a window appears.

- If the user is an administratormode, a window appears.

- Click on Next to continue.

- Enter the password you want forlogin and confirm it.

-Select CD/DVD drive access.

- Do not change to the IP address.

- Enter license key number and serialnumber given by Thales.

Note: The license key and the serialnumber are specific to thedisk of the laptop where isinstalled the software and tothe CD used to install thesoftware.


- Read and accept the licenceagreement.


- Choose the directory where theinstallation of the DLD_Utilities andDLD will be performed.

- Choose the Start Menu folder that willcontain the DLD_Utilities applicationshortcut.

Note: If you do not create such menu, selectDont create a Start Menu folder.

(6) PMAT Software suite installation error message

After stat ing the PMAT software (DLD_Uti li ties), the following error message can be

displayed.

Actions:

- Check, you gave the correct information to your Thales Field Support Manager(laptop disk number and other information identified in paragraph 3.A.2.) for thelicence numbers generation of this laptop.

- Check that the serial number of the PMAT SW CD used for the installation is thesame than the one used to generate the licence numbers.

- Uninstall and install again the PMAT software, pay attention to the differencebetween the License Key and serial number.

-Ask to your Thales contact new license key and serial number.
