1 SCIENCE PROJECT TRANSPORT IN GETXO We have done a project to find out the different problems and solutions about transportation in Getxo. We have divided the work in two phases; in the first one, we went to Getxo to take photos. In the second phase we asked the inhabitants opinion and views on a self-made questionnaire divided in different stages. This was the result of the questionnaire Make wide roads. 1. Entry In this picture you can see where we can from.

We have investigated the transport of Getxo. Getxo is 20 minutes from our Ikas-tola (Lauro) and many students live there. Our art teacher invited us to see a photo exhibition in Getxo (Getxophoto) and preparing the trip, we decided to look at the transportation of Getxo. First, we will show you where you are lo-cated Getxo.

1.1 Located Getxo is a town near the Bay of Biscay located 15 kilometers from Bilbao that has two beaches (Ereaga and beach Areeta) and about 15 minutes nearly air-port.

1.2 Inhabitants Getxo has 79,954 inhabitants. Getxo is composed of different neighborhoods: Algorta, Bidezabal, Areeta, Andra Mari, Artaza, Gobela and Neguri. These neighborhoods are connected with metro and bus services.

2 Diagnosing the problem

We divided the work into two parts with the aim of finding a solution to the problem (the trip to assist in Getxophoto and get answers and analyze them).

1. phase:Getxophotos trip

Some students of Lauro Ikastola, went to the town of Getxo to view the art ex-hibition being held there. Thus, in the same way, chose to investigate some transport. For what they thought the people of Getxo on such transport, set out to do a questionnaire with different questions. Their responses on this question-naire are shown in the second phase.

2. phase:

2.1 Through this questionnaire, we investigated which means of transport are most commonly used in Getxo, what is the motivation and how often people use this transport. We have also asked if they have any com-plaints.

2.2 1. phase

As we have mentioned before our research took us to Getxo and there,… and decide wha or goals andabsective would be on this subject

Aim:

1- Monitor exposure of the illustrations (Getxophoto) These are some photos we made during the excursion to Getxo (Getxophoto).

2- An examination of the carriage of Getxo. These are the most used transport.

Subway:

As you see in the picture, there is a metro stop of Algorta. The metro keeps in touch with Plencia Bilbao and all stops thereunderground Al-

gorta.

On foot:

The sidewalks are very comfortable space for people moving around the city, as we can see in the picture.

Bike:

The bicycle is a very convenient transportation and allows us toget across the city clean and green way envitomentaly

Bus:

Transport is a very ecological and practical and we do not have to worry about where to park.

Motorbike:

We hardly have to worry about where to park the motorbike. The only disad-vantage is that it´s less safe than a car.

Cars:

One of the most used transport in the world allowing us to move from one place to another comfortably and soundly. The only drawback is that often there are no places to park your car.

Parking:

The parking, give us the opportunity to stop cars and motorbike safely. Many times, they are full because people use them a lot.

Elevator:

It's great not to have to be with the need to go up steep hills or stairs. It raises and lowers objects or people of a specific height to another in total comfort.

Our propose

� Do differents routes from the houses to the schools

� More bicicles routes

� Do “GETXO BIZI” project and unite the bicicles route to go for the city on

the bicicle

� Put on Getxo normal bicicles and electric bicicles to the service to the

people of Getxo

� The line AB be the line of our "bidegorri ", taking into ac-count the service bicycles in AC lines.

The different types of "bidegorris "or its rules.

� The distance between the people should be 0.25 meters.

� What each person would occupy approximately 0.75 meters.

� Minimum measurement "bidegorri" should be 2.20 meters.

� It would be advisable at 2.50 meters.

Observation of the streets. In these images we can see where would our "bidegorri”. Our purpose is to bring the areas AB and the BC area. In the following pictures we can see where would our "bidegorri. "

Taking into account the characteristics we have decided to take the patterns "bidegorri." First, we set out to do some "bidegorris" protected to ensure security on the other hand, the second option is to do some "bidegorris" less safe because of some streets there is not much traffic and can circular in comfort.

Eco-bicycle

� Put a solar panels in service station for charging the buttery there. The

sun’s rays are against solar panels and create an electric current.

� The rider while the bike is charging the buttery, converting the mechani-

cal energy into electrical

In some municipalities, such as in Urduliz, already launched the service of elec-tric bicycles. Getxo considering that is a site with many slopes, think could be an interesting option for the bicycles as an effective transport, and not just use them as a sport. Off all modes, we propose a step forward, suggesting that these bikes are re-chargeable, as we shall see below.

Function:

Is like a normal bicycle but was moved by an electric motor. Well up mills is eas-ier than with a normal bicycle. Mechanical part.

• Electric motor

• Buttery: to charge the electric current

Our eco- bicycle

Instead of using the electricity network to charge the buttery we are going to use solar energy. Solar panels need to be installed in bicycle service stations us we can see in the photograph below

When the suns rays reflect of the solar panels it creates an electric current. We are going to use the current to charge the buttery. And addi-tional advantage is that the bicy-cle will be protected under cover. Now they are uncovered.

The bicycle´s energy needs to be a mottor- generator. On the one hand the energy works and a motor it consumers electricity from the buttery. When it works as a generator, it use the moment of the bicycle to create electricity and re-charge the battery. To undertand what a motor-generator is, we have prepared these two experi-ment.

1. Functionament of the motor:

The electicity pases throught a reel. In this way the magnetic feeld created by the magnet moves the reel.

2. Fuctionament of a electricity generator:

In this case, we turn the reel and this movement creates electricity in the reel.The intensity of the electric current is indicated on the ampiremetre. In the case of our eco-bicycle are would charge the battery whith the elec-tricity created by the bicycles generator. The advantge of eco-bicycle

� They are healthy and ecological and the same time. When the

generator works it creates electricity in the battery.The solar pa-

nels also help charge the battery.

DISABANTAGES

o While they would be expensive in the short tearm, in the longe tearm

they would work better to be cheaper.

Consecuences

� We have research the transport of Getxo

- By observing - By a survey

� We have new propose “bike paths”

� ECO-BICYCLE our propose is electric eco-bicycle:

- Using solar panels,charge your energy using renewable energy.

- Using a generator motor it can be recharged from an autonomouse and independent battery

By this propousal we integred the effective movility (SMART MOVE) as our propousal is organic and natural.
