Dear [enter team name],

This invitation comes on behalf of Georgia’s United Indian Student Alliance (UISA). We would like to extend an invitation to your team to audition for our second annual dance competition, ATL Tamasha. After last year’s roaring success as our first year of competitions, we have decided to extend this year’s competition to include all south eastern states in the United States. The competition will be held on November, 5th

2011 at the Robert Ferst Center in Atlanta, Georgia.  ATL Tamasha will feature four categories of dance including Bhangra, Raas/Garba, Fusion, and Classical Fusion. Twelve teams, four in each category, will have the opportunity to compete for the best in their assigned category and win a prize of $1000. This packet includes: audition rules, regulations, a team application, judging criteria and contact information.

Georgia's UISA is also proud to announce that we will be supporting The Miracle Foundation this year. The Miracle Foundation is a charity organization that helps orphans who are faced with poverty, illiteracy, and the severe effects of broken families. The Miracle Foundation provides these orphans with food, water, clothing, shelter, education, and medical care. Georgia’s UISA is deeply committed to helping people in need and this year we are donating a portion of our proceeds earned from ALL of our events, including ATL Tamasha, to this particular charity.

Please consider this your official invitation to the competition.  If your team is interested in applying, please email [email protected]. This will allow UISA to expect your application in the mail.

For updated information about the competition and last year’s winners, including Female Fusion Winner Paheli, Fusion Winner Qurbani, Garba/Raas Winner Tar Heels Raas, and both Bhangra Winner and A-Town Crown Winner Karma, please visit www.uisa-ga.com and www.atltamasha.com. For answers to any additional questions or concerns, feel free to contact us at [email protected]. We look forward to receiving your application. Good luck!
