1 CATHY VILLA PRESIDENT EDITOR: Carla Kincaid MAY 2020 ISSUE 26 I never really believed we would still be in isolation. I try not to think about unhappy and trying things. However, we are still “staying home and staying safe.” I am feeling better about things and do not have as much anxiety as I had. I am able to do things rather than just sit all day long. I have been busy painting. The oldest piece I worked on is from 2015. It is a two sided piece with a snowman on one side and pumpkin on the other. I completed the snowman in 2015 and now have finished the other side in 2020. Is that some kind of record? Probably not! It wasn’t that time con- suming. What was my problem? Let’s try to remember what we are working on and when we meet again we can talk about the old- est thing we finished, the easiest, the hardest, and maybe the most fun. And maybe things we just gave up on and threw away. After I finish the piece I just started (a freebie floral pattern by Nancy Scott, CDA), I am going to work on a very large sugar skull I promised my husband several years ago. It is in a bicycle mo- tif. He will be so excited. It is about 2 feet wide by 3 feet long. I miss everyone and hope all is well at your house. I can’t wait to get out see the people I care for so much who share the same passion that I do in our painting. Take care of yourself.

As you happen to be finishing older projects or starting new ones, take pictures and send them to Carla with an explanation. That way we can have “Show and Tell” even if we can’t meet face to face.
